Re: SLEEP EZ AND FLOBEDS? - sandman

I think you can find some of this info. on their websites. Or call and describe what you want and see what they recommend. I believe Flobeds use talalay from Latex International. I think sleepez uses tatalaly from Latex International and dunlop from Latex Green. But they say they use a variety of sources, so you would need to check with them.
One main difference is that Flobeds uses a 2" convoluted pieces on top to add some softness (you can take off of course). Below that you can make as firm as you want. If you are getting queen or larger it will be split in the middle. So, you can make one side firmer than the other to have some options to play with. I think the flobeds cover is nicer as well.
I have in my notes for Flobeds:
Soft: 19-22

Unless Latex Gold comes with an organic cotton velour fabric milled in Germany, PH7 texel wool, and a highly functional euro dowel base system then it isn't really comparable. The Green Sleep rubber is maybe a little bit better in terms of how they can make dunlop latex a little softer than most brands using injection moulding techniques to make their rubber cores, but the true cost difference lies in all the other components. Whether or not all of these things are worth it to you in the end is a whole other matter. Usually when you compare the mattress only pricing between the two you will see that Green Sleeps pricing is actually very reasonable for what it is, but the dowelling system provides a much higher level of ergonomics than rubber alone can accomplish on a solid platform base....

The Suerte, Oyasumi and Oasis are all manufactured by SleepTek. Out of the 3 I would only consider the Suerte and the Oyasumi as they have the best quality cover offered from the company (they only give it to their best dealers). Whichever of those two has the best price should be your best option. I have heard bad things about the Green Mattress Factory from other posters in the past. Plushbeds has very limited information regarding the cover they use on their latex, and they also say the rubber comes from either Sri Lanka (good) or West Africa (bad). If purity is important to you it is really hard to beat SleepTek. ...
Re: Please help w/ natural latex mattress choice (sleeptek vs bella sera vs sleepez) - budgy

I really don't like it when retailers do not check their product information.
The Harmony Organic Mattress from Home and Bedroom does not use Texel wool anymore, Sleeptek now sources all of their wool from Argentina, it is a very high quality wool as well but for the sake of accuracy...it doesn't come from the Netherlands anymore. And the natural rubber they use is not all from north malaysia anymore. They have a couple different suppliers they work with for sourcing this material.
The Suerte natural rubber mattress from the Natural Sleep Store, is also made by SleepTek. It is essentially the same 6+2 mattress with a nicer jersey stretch cotton cover. They list the wool content @ 2 lbs/square yard. (32oz), this is incorrect. That is the amount of wool they used to quilt into the top of...

I had been thinking along that line after having some kind of issue with a Greensleep latex/innerspring combo (note: 'the' most comfortable bed I ever slept on . . . very good support and very comfortable for my aching back, however there was some response I had to it . . . a response that was confirmed not to be a latex allergy). Came very close to pulling the plug on a Shepher'd Dream mattress, that aided by the fact that a family member informed me that the mattresses that we slept on in our youth were hand-me-down tufted wool mattresses. But similiar to yourself, I wasn't ready to toss money and suddenly (for example) find myself with something more akin to a futon. So I went with a Sleeptek wool/innerspring.
I'm interested where this thread may go. There is a second smaller bed in this house that...
Sam's Club Latex Mattress - hike108

My full size American Sleep Eco-Green Latex Mattress from Sam's Club developed a crease in the latex layer, running the length of the bed. And of course, there was soft spots where my hips rested. I had some initial frustration with Specialty Sleep Services but now they are honoring the warranty and picking up the bed. They expect Sam's Club to refund the entire purchase price of the mattress, with no shipping or restocking fees deducted. The customer service liasion, Edna Maury, is very pleasant to speak with and sincerely tries to resolve complaints about the product. ...
Asking for Advice about 8" mattresses, btw - Love This Forum! - Scott

Hello All,
First, what a great forum! I am now, more knowledgeable about mattresses than I thought I would ever be. Unfortunately, with every question answered, two more pop up – funny how that works. I’m hoping someone might help me getting pointed in the right direction. I also apologize in advance for asking what’s been asked before, many times I'm sure.
Like most here, I’m looking for a new mattress – latex - and my requirements may be a little unique. I have a bed that I absolutely love! It’s a solid cherry wood platform bed – no slats, solid flat surface. Thus I only need a mattress. Due to the height of the headboard I need a mattress that is only 8” high. Cost is always a factor and my limit is about $2300, but I really prefer to keep it below $2,000. Body-wise,...
Any one have or heard of Enso Sleep Systems? - poohparry

My new husband and I are closing on our first home this friday and have been on the hunt for a new bed - upgrading to a king from a queen. All the review we've read were pushing us towards latex but we made sure to try EVERYTHING including spring and memory foam. He likes really firm, but i like extra "fluffy" as I call it. I want to feel like I'm sinking in and being snuggled but my husband has acid reflux and wants to feel like he's sleeping on a board. After hitting every store in town we ended up at a local store selling mainly on Jamison mattresses and saw they had something we hadn't seen yet in any other store - Enso Sleep Systems. They're being sold as "all green" memory foam mattresses but that isn't an important factor for us. What mattered to us is...

Thanks - that's helpful. Am I crazy for buying a platform bed instead of the Green Sleep foundation? Given that a king-size foundation is approaching $2000, it doesn't seem like a great investment, but perhaps I'm missing something....
Green Sleep vs. mid-range Dunlop latex (Latex Gold) - registered

Everything I've read suggests that Green Sleep makes an excellent mattress with some of the purest Dunlop latex available on the market.
What about Latex Gold? If I like the feel, is the latex purity comparable? Latex Gold is about 40% cheaper than Green Sleep for a fairly similar product. My primary concern is VOCs, etc.
Thanks in advance for the help.
