We have an Original Mattress Factory store very near our home, in Mentor, Ohio.  It appears from the short time I've been on this site, that a latex bed is the most popular option.   Does anyone have any other suggestions for any other Mattress stores in the Mentor (Cleveland), Ohio area?

Thanks in advance for any advice, it is greatly appreciated.

Original Mattress Factory, if you are within driving distance of them.  Their Ultra Firm or Firm  Orthopidec mattress sets are great, and sell for $779 + tax.

If you want a coil mattress, that is.

Imperial Bedding of Huntington WV and other smaller regional companies like that might be better than the big national S brands.  People have posted lists of coil mattress manufacturers here.  I always plug Imperial because I own one of theirs from the late '80s and I've tried their #604 at a local store and I like it.  They make 2-sided mattresses.

The store you mentioned does carry savvy rest at prices a little less than the savvy rest website however they also carry other "latex" mattresses and tend a little towards "pressure" tactics and a bit of "misinformation" when you question them too specifically. Savvy rest itself also does not have the value of many other choices in latex that are available to you but they do provide a good testing ground if the outlet you are going to carries both their Talalay and Dunlop versions. If you choose to go there for "testing" I would make a strong committment to yourself not to buy anything until you have gone home and done some further research and comparison ... no matter what you are "offered".

There is a list of some Ohio mattress manufacturers and retailers which carry "part latex" or "all latex" in reply #1 here some of which may be close enough to warrant a phone call and/or a visit.

I suspect that the Original Mattress Factory may be your best choice and also the best place to do some "testing" as they manufacture a wide range of mattresses including all latex and have very good value. Perhaps it may be worth phoning some of the others on the list (especially the local manufacturers) just to find out if they make an all latex mattress that is comparable in quality and price to any you may like at OMF just to validate your choices. You are fortunate that there is a manufacturer which has a wide range of mattresses and good value near you. It is likely that your only...

There is a list for columbus posted recently (search "columbus") but this one is a little more complete. If the manufacturers listed here aren't close enough to visit they are probably worth a phone call to see if there is a retail outlet near you that carries them.

Good luck :)

My youngest daughter played university volleyball for 5 years and was on the Canadian championship team for her last 2 so I know a little about volleyball injuries (back, shoulder, ankles, knees at various different times). She had a few times when we thought her whole year may be threatened. I think a lot of people don't realize how "injury prone" high level volleyball can really be.

OK ... enough "bragging" (just couldn't resist :)). Back to mattresses.

I think whether your construction would work for you or not would depend partly on the type of springs you are working on. For a comfort layer this thick I would want them to be very firm. Simmons makes a "luxury firm" version which is softer and an extra firm version which is firmer.

Being a 60% stomach sleeper that is prone to back injuries, I...

Hello Phoenix,

Thanks for the quick reply, I just stumbled upon this place which is about an hour from my home.  I see that the Savvy Rest Serenity mattress gets very good review on this site, so maybe I will make a visit to this store

http://www.naturalbedco.com/showroom/

and try one out.  I hate to spend so much money without at least seeing how me, and most importantly, my Wife likes the mattress, LOL.  Thanks again for the reply and info.
