Re: Saatva Mattress - Does it Hold Up over Time? - PurdueStar

I'm starting to think most of these reviews are planted OR they are doing a GREAT job of removing the negative ones.  I am not happy with this bed.  To be fair, my husband thinks it's OK, and that we will probably not find anything better.  That's not saying much because the bed we had before was a VERY old sleep number bed that, in my opinion, slept horribly.  My husband's side was a little better, but I always felt that I was sleeping either on the floor, or a soft couch, no happy medium.  The SAATVA looks BEAUTIFUL!  Slide your hand across the top, and to the touch, it feels really nice.  Just don't sleep on it. The Pro: There's a lump in the middle, but believe it or not, it's not that uncomfortable. I also don't mind the lump because I hear a lot of beds tend to...

I purchased my Saatva in April 2013 and around the 6 month mark I developed low back pain due to a "indention" that had developed in that area of the mattress.  I don't know if it was from the comfort layers or springs breaking down but Saatva took care of it....

Bedman15.  You would thing with all of the saatva reviews around there would be someone reading this forum that could help you.  Perhaps you will get lucky one of these days.  As for off-gassing, I have not heard of that being the case with those mattresses.  Mattdud

Anyone have any experience with Saatva's plush model... I'm a side sleeper so want to make sure it's got enough give so I can sink in a bit. Right now I'm sleeping on a marble slab (not really) which is killing me.. Also wondering about off-gassing.. Appreciate anyone who knows! Thanks!!

Frigging fire barriers - SpookySquirrel

I have found that I'm very sensitive to any kind of fire barrier that has a componant that can get into the lungs. Unfortunately for me, this means most mattresses. The one I have now is a Saatva, which I thought would be safe but is not. Returning the mattress isn't an option, so is there anything I can use
specifically to block the particles (?) from getting into my lungs?? I have it covered up quite a bit right now with fabrics and it helps but not completely. Do I need to buy a thick piece of plastic? I just need to block the lung irritant, which is probably some kind of silica, not off gassing fumes. Does anyone know anything about this or has anyone out there had the same experience? I honestly don't know how people can sleep on most new mattresses these days. ...

I know this is a bit of an old post, so not sure if anyone will see this.. I'm contemplating going the Saatva route since a friend of mine had one and really liked it. I was wondering which one you got that developed the indentation?...

I have the Luxury Firm and it's a little to firm for me.

As for off-gassing, their site and their live-chat says there is no off-gassing. However, my experience, there is. When I first removed it from the bag, I got a huge whiff of it. Not as bad as a typical mattress, but there is a hint of it.

It's made of 70% polyurethane after all. ...
customer reviews Saatva - helen

Can anyone out there share your experience with a Saatva mattress. The customer reviews are excellent but the cynical part of me wonders whether they are legit. I also question if it is wise to order a mattress online sight unseen. If anyone reading this has purchased a Saatva I would be interested in how you liked the company and most importantly the mattress. Thanks!...

To be honest, Saatva mattress is not a big company. They are actually a medium but a good business empire that is slowly but steadily gaining a great rapport with their consumers. Apart from a solid trial period for you to check the mattress, they also offer heavy pro-rated and non pro-rated warranty so that you need not pay for what you did not break. However, that's a rare seen given the customer feedback from many not only in USA but all over the world. Yes, they ship internationally too.

I write a lot of mattress reviews so I can definitely guarantee that saatva is a mattress you wont regret buying.
