Catlover,
This is Dave at FloBeds.
I wanted to correct the record. Dewey was mistaken when he told you the dunlop latex on the video was Latex Green. It was latex produced under the trade name Arpico. We brought it in by container direct from The Richard Pieres Company in

I feel for your loss of $445...Was your topper blended or natural talalay latex? Just wondering--does your Sealy mattress have any divots? Since blended talalay is supposed to last longer that natural, your report will help in future latex decisions....

Hello, has anyone tried the Naturaworld classic comfort plus wool topper? Is it softer then, say, the cuddlebed topper from Costco?
We have the cuddlebed, and I have to say that it is great, but if we wanted something with a little more cushion, would we be better off with the
wool topper from Natura? The good thing about anything from costco is that it is returnable, whereas the wool topper won't be (so it is
a bit more of a risk to try). Thanks for any opinions!...

Although I would love to see New England unfortunately the wife and I live nowhere near their, and are highly unlikely ever to visit their, we'll have to pass. But thank you for the invitation.
I bought the Deluxe 4 layer Talalay all natural bed. As I recall I paid about $2700 (mattress only) during one of their sales.
What's a shame is that we do not have some brick-and-mortar stores in our locality, (I would be willing to drive 100 miles or so to visit it) so that we could test it out by spending an hour or so lying on the actual Dunlop, Talalay, mattresses. But even then it's not the same as sleeping on a mattress for several nights, as I am finding out as I try to determine what kind of firmness layers I prefer.
Do you feel, at this point in time, that you have selected the proper...

Catlover: I really appreciated all the work you went to in posting your pictures.
It sure would be wonderful if you had an opportunity to sleep on an all Talalay bed of the proper firmness. Then you could give us your evaluation of the two different latex manufacturing processes as far as actual use is concerned.
Without ever having slept on a Dunlop mattress I naturally can only assume what you are experiencing compared to what I am experiencing with my all Talalay FlowBeds. It has always been my assumption that since Dunlop is a more dense product that it has a different feel because of this. At least that was my conclusion based on the samples that I received both from Savvy Rest ( Dunlop) and FlowBeds ( Talalay). As you indicated, with the small samples of Dunlop they felt less springy. This was a great concern to me as I...

My (very) old natura bed came with a wool topper; don't know if it's the same as they sell now separately. The one I have is about 2 " (when it's not matted down) oganic wool filling inside an organic cotton cover. Have never tried a cuddlebed so I don't know how to compare. I find the wool toppers and pads (I also have a fleece pad) great for temperature regulation.
I guess it also depends on what you have it on top of, and what you want it for (eg softness, temperature regulations, etc). The wool topper that came with my old bed was on top of a very thin piece of very firm latex (way too firm for me, and the topper wasn't enough to soften it up sufficiently, even though I slept on that bed for many years). I now use the wool fleece pad on...

The slight itchiness could be caused by the wool in the topper. I use to find wool suits somewhat itchy. The itchiness might diminish over time.
Anyway, I tried the outlast mattress pad from Costco as well. When first laying on it I found it cool, which I like. However, I found that after laying in the same position for a while the heat seemed to build up. I think it can absorb a certain amount of heat, but after it is "full", it ends up radiating it back to you. When I moved, it seemed cool in another spot, but that defeats the purpose of being able to sleep comfortably in the same position. It got hot enough that I switched back to my old mattress pad at 2am to see what the difference would. That heated up as well, which...
