sleepez has the 3" Queen for $392 natural Talalay or $357 natural Dunlop, plus $49 shipping.
Rockymountainmattress has it for $320 including shipping! $40 for a cover. By far the cheapest price and don't quote me but I'm pretty sure they told me they were L.I. for Talalay and Latex Green for Dunlop, as is SleepEZ....

Okay, folks, thank you for all your info and suggestions and support!
I finally made the plunge and ordered from SleepEZ:
1" twin 32ILD Natural Talalay layer (LI, I think) $78
1.5" twin 32ILD Natural Dunlop layer (Latex Green) $105
+49 shipping
There is no exchange on "components" as they call them (I call them layers) unless they are part of a whole mattress order.
They did not have the 1.5" Dunlop in stock so they said they'd get it on Friday and would ship on Monday.
I can't wait to try it and see if it helps my back ache. My back ache during the night and morning have gotten better since I got rid of the memory foam, but I'm still having it and my theory - and the reason for the order above - is that I believe my HR foam layer has crapped out.
We will see.

Question for Budgy and other latex folks - jimsocal

It is coming down to a choice for me between rockymountainmattress's Dunlop or SleepEZ's Dunlop.
One thing that bugs me about RockyMountain's Dunlop is that the firmest Dunlop they offer is 26IFD, and I was thinking I would get 32ILD from SleepEZ.
My main question is: Do you think 26IFD is firm enough for a bottom layer just over my springs? I really don't know. I believe the HR foam I have been using is 32ILD though it might be 28ILD, I don't remember. They are calling 26IFD natural Dunlop "medium firm" but going by the numbers, I would think it would be more like medium soft.
SleepEZ offers the 32 ILD in the natural Dunlop though I don't know if it's as good as the Rockymountan natural Dunlop which someone said is made by Latex Green (?) which Budgy said was a good company as I recall.
I do like that SleepEZ...

Jim, it looks like Rockymountain would be slightly cheaper for 1 piece, but sleepez is cheaper if you buy 2. Rockymountain told me that Latex Green makes their latex toppers. That would make sense for the dunlop, but as far as I know they do not make 100% natural talalay. So, they would have to be pressed on that issue. Does anyone know the quality of Latex Green?...

Hey Jazzsinger, those Foamite latex mattresses do seem very overpriced considering the extensive use of soy based polyurethane foams (btw, calling that stuff green is a bit of a stretch). I don't wanna say they are your only options but there are 2 very reputable Canadian manufacturers in Ontario. Obasan/Sleeptek in Ottawa, and Natura in Cambridge.
You may wanna look at both of them and check out dealer locators or try calling them. They are both very recognized names in good quality latex mattresses, and it is of my opinion that if you are going to buy Latex you should go ALL latex as in no polyurethane foam. With Natura you just want to be a little more specific on this because they make a very large selection of products, but anything out of the "Natural" or "Organic" lines do not contain any polyurethane or soy based polyurethane content.

well, I was going to try and wait a week, but I gave in and added a 1" memory foam topper, to give it a little bit more "cush" on the top. Just to help me sink in a tiny bit and hopefully prevent me from rolling over to my stomach, which causes me great pain in my back when I wake up. this now seems to be a good setup for side sleeping, and because it is only 1" memory foam, it doesn't mess it up for back sleeping either. My next challenge is a pillow. Down pillow is good for back sleeping, latex is good for side. still searching for the perfect balance. perhaps I'll go back to a tempurpedic pillow. we'll see. FYI: I now have the latex mattress (soft side up), then thin waterproof/breathable cover over the...
