Re: Latex by Natura - confusedbedbug

there are many variables here so it's hard to advise. I would say buy the one with all latex. we had the one with memory foam on top but it was too soft for us as the foam was 3". I found the all latex very firm, and so a topper of something like softer latex or memory foam of no more than 2" would likely do the trick. ...

I have a latex bed by Natura, and I would never sleep on anything else!

This has to be the most comfortable bed we have ever had! I no longer wake up with sore hips or backache. Even my husband, who has a really bad back, complains of less stiffness than on our old bed.

We have now had our bed for two years and we would never go back to pocket coils. This has been one of best investments and I can highly recommend spending the extra for the most amazing comfort, plus we find, since sleeping on it, both of us have seen allergy improvements.

May I ask then, why are you searching out mattress forums telling everyone how great your Natura is?  Your post actually sounds like a sales pitch.  Most happy customers don't come on here with 2 posts raving about how great they are...

My Natura bed, made in Cambridge, Ontario, is the best bed we have ever slept in. Had it for two years now and would never go back to anything else!...

Thanks so much for your reply. Can you advice on what kind of topper you would buy? E.G. Costco vs. one of the more luxury brands? Would it make a difference?...

Is there any particular aspect I should be worried about if I go the Natura way? Any advice would be appreciated. I tried posting before, but have gotten no responses. Although the Natura I'm looking at isn't  as expensive as SavvyRest (and not completely organic either), it is quite an investment and I would appreciate any comments....

Serta Pure Response vs Natura Solice: HELP! - arg0
Aug 8, 2009 3:58 PM
Hello, I have looked for reviews for these two latex mattresses, but haven't really found any. I am really hoping
somebody has an opinion. Before I give details, let me just mention that  I cannot afford the pure organic mattress from Natura,
so I am aware that the Natura that I am looking at contains some chemicals. In particular,  I am looking at the Ultra-Green Solice.
According to the Natura website, the Solice contains:
  •  Non-removable plush top
  • Bamboo/Cotton blend stretch ticking
  • 18 oz./ yd² Natura Smart Wool in plush top
  • 8" Talalay latex core
  • All natural fire barrier
  • 20 year warranty
Now, today, my husband and I tried out a Serta Pure Response Lavish and Illumination. I gather no one is very happy with the S-brands, but this
bed seemed very comfortable, but I am still concerned about it due to the S-brand reputation.

I know that there is some PU foam in the Serta, but...
New member,... some questions - eagle2

Hello everyone. I am a new member and I have a couple of questions.

I have been sleeping on a water bed for over 20 years now. The most recent bed is now 10 years old and the floatation material seems to be wearing out as it wants to bunch up on one side. It is a California King and I sleep in it alone, mostly I am a side sleeper. I am 6'2" tall and weighed 210 pounds.

I have been thinking about all natural, organic latex mattress. I have been reading quite a few of the online retailers websites. I have pretty well narrowed it down to two companies. Sleep Ez, primarily because of all the good posts on this site regarding them, and also Savvy Rest because they have gotten other reviews on other sites that were good. I have talked with Savvy Rest by phone and they were...
SleepEZ - very good experience - davidinnc

We were looking for a new king mattress and had narrowed it down to latex or memory foam.  After trying out many mattresses locally we liked both types, but we had two concerns:  having our faces next to plastic derivative (memory foam) or a partial petroleum product (synthetic latex) for years, and longevity of the matress.  So we settled on natural latex, which seemed like it might have less chance of harmful emissions (although I could not find any solid data on this) and would last for decades.  No major manufacturer that we could find has this product - all "natural" lines have other substances as well (notably PU foam) that does not inspire confidence for longevity.

There were a number of interesting products on the web, and we narrowed it down to Flobed and SleepEZ based on the products they carried and the price.  Called SleepEZ with a question...

Re: Decided to go latex - laennis

I, too, after months of researching online & having tried out a friend's tempurpedic, have decided to go latex. Due to the high cost of this investment, I have done endless research on the quality of natural vs. blended latex and talalay vs. dunlop latex. I've decided to go 100% natural talalay and to purchase through Flo Beds, due to their excellent reputation online and their A+ rating with the BBB. I found one other site (Green Mattresses) who offered better prices for a similar product, but their reputation was not nearly as sterling. I finally completed the ordering process today with Dave at Flo Beds and I can say that he was he was extremely helpful on the phone. Dewey was also very helpful online during my search. I am postponing delivery till after the Labor Day holiday, so I cannot tell you how I like it yet, but...
