Re: latex beds by Natura? - confusedbedbug

Hi there:  We have this bed and if you can still get to the old forum you can read lots about our experience.  Long story short, we still have the bed in our spare room, only we removed the memory foam and it is all latex now.  Comfortable and very well made bed, our issue was we couldn't take the latex or memory foam on our backs as it led to pain.  We now have a Charles H Beckley spring bed with some memory foam as a topper under a Hastens topper.

IF we didn't have back issues we would likely still be using this bed.  It seems very well made and I do like stretching out on it to read and have the occasional nap - it's right by the computer.  If you already know you like the latex and memory foam combo and it does not give back pain,...

Hi John and welcome to a great forum where you will learn a lot and then maybe be like me really want to help others with the knowlege you learn.  I do not know anything about Naturalbedstore but I felt bad noone posted so I am welcoming you.

I have a FloBed latex kit that I am very happy with due to the wonderful customer service and the ability to unzip the cover and move the latex cores around to get the bed to the comfort level needed even when my needs change (i.e., had a car accident and I was glad I could put the firmer latex cores more on top for my need to even have a firmer bed).  I like that I do not have allergies to my bed and the zippered cover is very comfortable. I love the 10" legs that make the bed the height I...

Zortania, I know how you feel since when Rockaway Bedding Delivered the Simmons Roosevelt Mattress, I was amazed at how I could not breath when I was in the same room as the mattress. I tried airing it out and covering it but sleeping on it made me cough and get so hot and nauseous.  I had to sleep on the floor in my storage room and was better there despite my allergies to dust and dustmites than in my own bedroom that had that mattress. I guess they use a lot of fire retardent chemicals and the polyurthane outgassing in a smaller space than in a store must just bother people like you and me that must be chemically sensitive.  I used to always have a stuffy nose on my very old spring mattress but nothing like I experienced with the new bed that I had to send back...

cloud9,

just wanted to tell you again that your opinions and advice were much appreciated when i was looking to buy my latex!  and just to give you an update, i've finally received most of the pieces to my bed (the major pieces at least).

i got a 4" medium firm (26 ifd i believe) in 100% natural dunlop and i just got my 2" 100% natural talalay topper 2 days ago (22 ifd).  it feels nice so far (granted i've been sleeping on an inflatable air mattress for the past month so anything would feel nice to me at this point), but the latex is actually a bit firmer than i expected (even the talalay topper).  i guess i was expecting it to be really, really soft.  but fortunately, as a few people have wisely helped me remember, is that i can always make my bed softer, but i can't make it firmer -...

For what it's worth, wanted you all to know I received my samples from these guys.  nice big 12"x8"x2", both ild's, probably an 18ild, and 30 ild.  But they were labeled D75 for soft, and D85 for medium.  Look, feel exactly like Absolutecomfort.  Along with a Latexgreen brochure and business card with email fibex@tds.net

I would of ordered from them seeing their samples, if I hadn't already from sleeplikeabear.  But only got a 1", so still might order another 1" in the future.......

Well.  I forgot to ask about shipping, so I sent an email.  That was at least three days ago.  No response.  Should of listened to the "kinda looks iffy" advise.  Still no samples, but the AbsoluteComfort took about 1.5 or 2 weeks, so it still might happen.  But I am moving on.  The 2" from Absolute might be too much.  Am considering the 1" foambymail that Lynn spoke of, or the 1" sleeplikeabear.  Am ready to get this over with!...

Hi,

I just found this forum the other day. Great stuff!  I'm currently looking into latex beds. I've checked out a lot of different companies online. Sleepez, Savvyrest, etc. They all seem like good companies. I did receive a "foam sampler" from Naturalbedstore. Does anyone have information about this company?  They seem to have been in business for a long time, but I can't find anything in the forum about them.

Thanks for any help,

John...

thanks for the response.  I don't know how to get to the old board.  I've never slept on latex, so I don't really have any idea.  Do you think you could post a link to your old thread?
Thanks!

Hi, my first post!
I am new here, and you guessed it!  I'm in the market for a new bed.  I have FM and can't sleep in the same room with my hubby, let alone the same bed!

I went to one of our local furniture stores and they carry latex beds made by Natura.  I now sleep on a Simmons Beauty Rest with a 2 inch memory foam topper.  We have a split king, but my hubby doesn't get to enjoy his side.  We are moving, and downsizing our house so I know our new Master bedroom will not hold a king so I need something smaller, but big enough for cuddle time.

With the memory foam topper the bed is pretty comfy.  But, if I get a new one, I don't think full memory would be good, and I am not sure about full latex.  Natura has...
