Hi Leo,

I've never heard or seen the Leggett and Platt in person but I think my Ergo is really quiet. Though I was told when I bought the Ergomotion it was made by L&P, I can't find anything now to substantiate that statement. I was in Macy's last month and the saleswomen there said L&P makes all the parts for almost all adjustable beds, (I recently found out they make linens and protectors too!), but I don't know about the ERGO. I don't trust any mattress salesman I've talked to except budgy.

Their customer service number 1-888-550-ERGO.
Email addy is info@ergomotion.us.
Mailing address is Ergomotion, 55 Castilian Dr. Ste148, Santa Barbara, CA 93117.

Here is the <a href="http://www.ergomotion.us/brochures.html"target="_blank">link</a> to the .pdf instruction manual and warranty information. Have a look at the manual and see if you can follow it as to set-up. I can't even use a...
Re: Why is there infinite trouble selecting a mattress for person with low back pain? - Kait

I'm not sure what the answer is for your particular situation, but my low back pain was 100 percent CAUSED by my beds.  One way to shop is to stay the night in different hotels with different beds to check to see how they affect your back.  I had to be out of town on and off while my dad was ill and slept in different beds, different types, and none really made me feel better.  Then I took a trip to Denver and slept at a wonderful hotel there...and the bed worked like magic on my back!  I was 80 percent better the first night, and completely rehabbed after the next night!  I WAS RIGHT IT WAS THE BED!  No one had believed me before this, but I came home and refused to sleep on our bed one more night...ripped it apart with an exacto knife and changed the...
Bought mattresses that only partially solved the problem - what now? - Melissa2008B
May 5, 2010 11:11 PM
Last year around June, we bought a couple of adjustable beds from Denver Mattress Co., with partial memory foam mattresses, because we needed relief from pressure points when we sleep on our sides. I HAVE to sleep on my sides and at age 62, have been having problems for years now, where the arm on top becomes numb and I have to turn over, and then again.... Must be a pressure point problem?

I'm not complaining about the store. The only real problem was that, just lying on them in the store, doesnt tell you if they actually can solve the problem for you. They helped some but didn't solve the problem. Yet we spent about $3500 for two adjustable beds and mattresses, that we're still paying off. ( just transferred it to a lower interest account to finish that and avoid the "1 year same as cash"...

I think it is hard to recommend any one of the S brands over the other.  However, I would avoid Spring Air since they seem to have the worst reviews.  Sealy came out slightly ahead.  Orignal mattress factory, Denver mattress and Simmons were the top 3 rated innerspring brands in consumer reports.   I think the first decision would be pocketed coils vs. interlaced (connected together).   In theory, pocketed will conform more to your body, so they might be more comfortable.  However, they may also be more likely to shift and lose support.  Most pillowtops will lose support over time, so usually best to avoid those.

You probably need to go to a store (I found that Macy's had a pretty good selection in my area) and see what you like.  I tended to like S&F, Simmons and Sealy (in that order), but I have not tried many other brands.  I wouldn't...

Re: Adjustable Latex Bed at Costco - Natalia

Hi Gary,

I don't have an opinion about the latex bed that comes with the Leggett and Platt adjustable, but I can give you a small amount of info that I've found.

Latex in the Northern CA area:

Mancini's has Englander, Mattress Discounters (owned by Sleep Train) has Simmons Natural, and most of the rest have Vera Wang. Also you could call Connolly's Furniture in Fremont and see what they carry - (510) 656-2880.

I do own an ErgoMotion 400 adjustable bed from Mancini's which cost me 1200.00. I love it! It is quiet, and a wall hugger and I have had no problems with it at all. I was using it with my TP Cloud Supreme. I later returned the Cloud and am now using the Ergo with a FloBed.

Hi Leo,

I got mine at a local Mancini's Sleepworld store (California). It was 1200.00 without any mattress. I think mine has the 7" legs, but it has locking casters on each leg, which make it approx. 9"  from floor to bottom of the base. (I definitely recommend the casters!) It looks exactly like the one at Denver Mattress : link

From the Ergomotion website link click on "Online Store". There you can see/ buy different height legs if needed. The whole adjustable base is "stand alone". This means you don't need a bed frame to use it, as the mattress sits directly on it. Think of it as a box spring with legs. All four sides have a very nice embossed foam padded cover, and the top center has a kind of non-skid material to keep your mattress from sliding. There is a...

I own the Ergomotion 400 adjustable base. It is a wall hugger. I bought it locally for 1200.00 last Sept. At the time I was told it was made my Leggett & Platt and I was able to find it on the LP site. I can't find it on L&P site anymore, so I don't know if they are still affiliated or not.

I do love it and it comes with a separate box that you put 9 volt batteries in to use in case of power outage. (I think it takes 6 batteries.) I keep this backup box in the closet. If needed the box with batteries plugs into the control box which is located under the bed. You use the battery backup box only for emergencies/ power outages.

I emailed Ergomotion customer service once when I was confused about the massage timer on the remote, and they...

Thanks for the feedback, about the only decent place to look in my area is a Denver Mattress, so I stopped there to check some out, the latex beds were very interesting (never saw one before, lol) didn't get much time to really spend with the beds but more reading is definitely in my future before I plunk down that much coin.

I appreciate the replies, hopefully I can add a good ending to this story later on  :)

Internet search shows that this mattress is made by Innomax. They call it:

WHITE NIGHT PREMIUM ORGANIC NATURAL LATEX MATTRESS

It is a part of they Natural Reserve collection.

The company has been around for 30+ years, but I have a difficulty locating reliable user reviews of this product.
