Just stopping by and I see that my old post from last year has been revived. No, I did not purchase a Restava bed, we ended up buying an Englander memory foam bed. I have honestly hated this bed since then, it was way too firm and has remained so. In the interim over the past year+ we have purchased a softer 2-1/2-inch memory foam topper and I have also added a featherbed from The Company Store, really all to no avail. This bed may be just fine for those who like a pretty firm bed, but it's not for me. Anyway I just placed an order for a Saatva mattress today because I really don't want any more 100% foam mattresses at the moment, whether memory or latex. So if anyone is interested, I will post my thoughts on it when it arrives.

On a humorous note,...

Just an update from someone who started this post ;)

I have this mattress now over 1 1/2 years. It's still as comfortable as in the beginning, no sagging or similar occured during that time.

I still sleep extremely well on it and can only highly recommend this mattress!

Anyone else have their Saatva longer than a year?  Tanjunyc below is the longest I have seen yet.  I am very discouraged with  a W Hotels mattress with a crater in the center after a year, hoping to find a replacement that will last 4-5 years at least.  I really wanted to avoid  pillowtop because of all the issues I have read about, and my W Hotels one is a plush top, but it looks like Saatva only has pilllowtops.

Re: Need a topper for new Serta Innerspring - QuibbleMoth

Follow-Up:  Sears sent a delivery team to pick up the mattress and gave me a full refund.  I thought I was stuck with the Serta beast but Sears made a return effortless.  No restocking or pick-up fee - in fact, I didn't even lose the shipping on the refund.  Very pleased with Sears and how easy they made it for me.

I've narrowed my search for a new mattress down to Saatva or Ezsleep Latex.  Since I don't like the feel of foam, I'm leaning towards the Saatva innerspring.  I'm not a fan of pillowtop but it's probably better quality and attached differently than the cheap ones I've seen.   Another reason to pause, is shipping is $270 to Iowa.

Meanwhile, I'm sleeping on a 20 year old Sealy twin innerspring that is still firm and bouncy.  I nearly fell off one night but I prefer it to...

Saatva is Zappos of Mattress Buying! - MarkBerman

My wife and I have been fortunate enough to recently build a new summer home out in the Hamptons of Long Island. We have dealt with contractors, electricians, plumbers, surveyors, the town board, painters, landscapers...I won't go on but instead, just leave it to your imagination what time it takes and what headaches are incurred in dealing with these relationships no matter how much you want it to go right, there is time, effort and frustrations....do I really have to tell you the headaches of building a house? Simultaneously, we had to line up our furniture thru our decorator. Nothing seemed easy and frankly, building and decorating a house can't be and shouldn't be easy.

Yet, the final straw broke my already aching back. My wife breaks the news to me. It could not have been worse. My wife wanted me to take her mattress shopping like in...

As a new online mattress researcher, I find posts like this extremely difficult to digest.  How in the hell are people supposed to take this seriously?  You have a huge home in the Hamp and an apt in Manhattan and you are going to exersize thrift on your mattresses?  Come on, now....
