Kasumiga.  It is unlikely you are being poisoned.  Take the mattress apart and separate the pieces.  Visually examine each piece.  Smell each piece.  Let us know what you discover.  You may find that only one part is smelling funny which would allow you to dispose of just that part and save the remainder.  Mattdud

I wouldn't consider keeping that mattress if that's the case. but its not so expensive to replace it in in fact i mean i bought a new mattress from this online site i come across online called cutpricemattresses i found them on Google in fact. To be honest the prices where fantastic considering the brands they sell and i saved money the same kind of brands elsewhere it would of cost me way more. I would try to get rid of your mattress it may be harmful to you i wouldn't trust it at all. Don't know who you purchased it off but they should help you in that case can not just say they never heard of it and just let go. ...

Hi, KathyK -

As a person with a lifelong need to sleep long hours every night, I have come to appreciate the benefits that come with making an investment in my mattresses - and as such, I am happy to say I have both a McRoskey and a Vispring in my home. While it took me a long time to recognize the need to invest in mattresses instead of looking for the cheapest mattresses around and replace them regularly, I can tell you I also believe we do, indeed, get what we pay for when it comes to getting the best sleep we can.

So here are just a few of my thoughts about both my McRoskey and my Vispring beds:

My McRoskey bed:
1. It really is a GREAT mattress
2. I love the fact that they are built in San Francisco with Union Labor - so I am supporting quality work and workmanship.

As for brands specification wise I think Sleepeezee, Dreams mattresses are what I am looking for.
I can't be sure though. So please comment on that.
Currently I found to mattresses that I like - one is Dunlopillo natural latex, medium soft.
The other is brand - Yorkshire S&H Beds, on which I cannot find any information and this very much worries me,
but seem to have all i want in a mattress 4000 pocet count, gel-something on top technology, mediumsoft.
Can anyone comment please...
Recommendation for latex bed and cover - VanGirl

I am looking to buy a new twin mattress for my 6 year old son. I want something that is comfortable and non-toxic. There is a good chance that this will be his mattress until he leaves home so I would like something that will last and be comfortable when he is larger.

I went to three stores but am overwhelmed by the choices. :) The stores focused on Dunlop latex and recommended 6" mattresses, with the suggestion of buying a topper when my son is older. Is this the best option?

Assuming yes, I think I have it narrowed down to three mattress options and would love your assistance picking. My son says every mattress is comfortable (and he tried a lot!). The three options (with prices including tax) are:
1. Sleeptek kids 100% organic natural latex mattress ($979)
2. Obasan Fundy ($1119)
3. Arpico 6" ($631...
