Whelp. I was commenting on a friend's post on Facebook and was looking up the old details about this mattress I purchased what.. geesh, 12 years ago now, and came across this forum!
I'm very happy to report that my IKEA latex mattress is still going strong, and I've recommended it numerous times. I think IKEA's replaced the Erfjord a few times over, but their top of the line Latex still has natural wadding and ticking, and still has a 85-15 blend of natural vs artificial latex.
I know I have a 25 year warranty, and I'm about halfway through that, but heh, it'd be nice to get a new mattress after 12 years.
Minimal sagging after all this time. Mattress still isn't...

Great post, thanks for that!
While comfort undeniably is and always will be the number one contributing factor for the perfect mattress, I do feel that there is an often overlooked aspect: and that is how the mattress contributes to your health. Remember that you spend a third of your life (!!!) in bed - let that sink in!
While comfort alone may be perceived as healthy, there are other factors that should be considered even if the mattress is comfortable, such as what the cover of the mattress is made of and what material is used inside (PU/Memory Foam/Latex/etc.). Just as an example: there are many chemical components that MAY have an effect on your health through off-gassing (basically tiny particles of the material that are pushed into the air as the material inside the mattress decays).
I have made it my mission to have the most natural environment at home,...

Unfortunately, I can’t find the thread you're talking about.
If talking about your question. I can give recommendations. so I recently bought it for our bedroom.;
I did my own “research”. And when I studied Simmons Beautyrest mattress, I found some advantages:
Better than average motion isolation
Better than average satisfaction for some models
Comfort and less pain for first 3 years
Better than average warranty
I also added Zinus and LUCID mattresses in my list of comparisons.;
Zinus. What’s special about this mattress is that this is a new kind of memory foam called BioFoam which uses natural plant-based oils to replace some of the petroleum, which helps keep your mattress fresh and is a bit more environmentally friendly. This mattress has a medium firmness and comes...

Back pain is one of the most causes of disability across the globe. It’s surprising to know that most of the back pain is not always caused by serious health issues like any surgery or cancer or arthritis. Most of the time it is postural habits & movement behavior.
Here we are discussing the best sleeping positions for back pain & hopefully find some relief.
1. Sleeping on the back with knee support – Sleeping on the back is considered as the best position for a healthy back, as sleeping on the back evenly distributes the weight of the body also minimizes the pressure points and ensures good alignment of the neck, head & spine.
Its recommended to keep a pillow under the knees to provide support.
1. – Lie flat on the back facing ceiling & avoid twisting...

Are you part of the fortunate people that seem to already have learned how to make yourself fall asleep fast and sleep for a long time and probably the most fortunate ones nod off the moment, they put the head on the pillow. All of us need to experience many minutes or long periods of essentially focusing our eyes on the ceiling before being able to nod off.
Putting to test lots and lots of sleeping positions, attempting to have a clear mind, in any event, tallying sheep are pointless tips on the most proficient method to fall asleep fast if the individual suffers from sleep disorder, rest apnea or insomnia so it is ideal to decide the causes and afterward begin treating it.
Be that as it may, truly, every body is unique and everyone has their own extraordinary sleep habits. The individual with back torment probably won’t need a...

Latex is considered to be one of the best materials for making mattresses due to its natural softness, breathability, and elasticity. Latex is commonly found in high-cost luxury mats and can be used in both the comfort layer and the support core. ...

I was diagnosed with MCS in the late 1980's. My new ORGANIC NATURAL RUBBER LATEX mattress is off-gassing a sweet vanilla smell that is pungent and definitely not the "mild" smell some people have called it.
I do believe anyone bothered by this smell has a case for returning the mattress and getting a full refund. The reading and research I've done since I received the new mattress convinces me there is no kind of natural rubber latex mattress on the market that a person with MCS should seriously consider buying because the non-organic ones use toxic chemicals in the manufacturing process of the latex itself: and the organic ones are so pungent that I am convinced some kind of air-exchange off-gassing is occurring, even though the maker of the mattress assures everyone it is "non-toxic". I believe the day will come when someone will identify just what that gas in...

if you value natural materials and sustainability, and are willing to pay a premium for a high-quality mattress, an organic king mattress could be a good choice for you. However, if cost and availability are a concern, or if you prefer a certain level of firmness that may not be available in organic mattresses, you may want to consider other options. ...
