Hi, first post. I need a mattress no thicker than 6" for a camper van conversion. Ideally 4", but think 6 might be the minimum for comfortable sleep. Wondering what base foam I should get.

Me: 185 lb athletic build back and side sleeper. I used to always sleep on my stomach but I've mostly trained myself out of that. I have no idea how anyone's hips can have pressure points. For me my shoulders are the only issue ever.
Wife: 150 lb side and back sleeper, trying to get down to 130.

I have a plywood platform. Was thinking 3" lux hq (50 ild) under 3" 4lb memory foam. We are not super picky, but I am wondering if 50 ild will feel too rigid. Like will I sink right through the memory foam and feel a rigid board of base foam? Should I go with 36 ild base foam?

Also is there any way to go thinner? I have a high roof van with a raised bed platform to store bikes under, but still want to be able to sit on the edge of the bed.
