I've gone to almost every store around where I live and they are all about the same price $400-$500 minimum. I was looking for something simple and cheap because Im not sure what kind of bed I like and I wanted to try something out. Unfortunately sleeping on the floor or an air mattress or something doesnt work for me, Ive really tried. Is there no way I can get a bed for around $300? What do people do when they cant afford the store prices? Any ideas? I live in Vancouver BC and I dont need anything fancy. In fact thats kind of the problem. Most of the new beds in stores feel odd to me and I was hoping to find something more old fashioned. $500 seems like a bit much for something Im not sure of.

somewhere in my researching tonight i was directed to amazon - they have foam mattresses for under 500 depending on what size you need.  I haven't bought one, I"m debating getting a bed from bedinabox.com
