Are there any legitimate health concerns associated with adjustable beds? (The various mattress salesmen/saleswomen I have spoken to tend to claim that the adjustable beds sold by their competitors are either of poor quality and/or pose health risks. Thus, it’s difficult to know what to believe.)

There may be a difference in quality. Although, I have only heard positive things about the Legget and Platt S-Cape, Ergo-motion 400, and Tempurpedic Ergo. I have seen complaints about the one that comes with the Sleep Science beds from Costco.

But, there should be no health risk from one to another, unless they are all unhealthy. They all appear to work the same way.
