Anatomic Global opinion?

My husband and I are considering buying an Anatomic Global bed - the Altus 7 - which is made for Relax the Back and sold under the name "Pure Fit".  It is less expensive than Tempurpedic and supposed to be much cooler as well as much greener.  Does anyone have experience with this memory foam mattress and/or Anatomic Global or buying from Relax the Back?  We are switching from a Kings Down mattress which has sagged after 6 years.  Any help would be much appreciated.

I tried an eco-friendly foam mattress and it didn't feel like a tempurpedic.  I didn't sink in and feel like I was sleeping in sand.  I hope you have tried this bed.  A quick google search found no reviews by humans.  Perhaps yelp has some comments on relax the back stores.  What is the warranty?  There are other companies that make soy foam mattresses that I believe are cheaper then Tempur.  There are also tempur-like mattresses.  Whate exactly are you looking for?  Are you looking for a green mattress or just inexpensive memory foam?

Sorry, I have no experience with that bed.

No experience with this. But I have layed on a soy-based memory foam mattress and I liked it better than Tempurpedic because it has a quicker response and felt more supportive. Here's a memory foam company that is a lot cheaper, has 120 night trial, free shipping and free returns.

Mods and readers: No, I'm not promoting this company just because I also recommended it in another thread. I just happened to have dealt with this company a few years back and found them to be a good company with a good product. Like flobeds, they offer good customer service and good products with a good guarantee. Looking at their site once again I was reminded of their great sleep trial policy. Caveat: If you ship it back get ZERO hairs, dirt, stains on the mattress. Keep the cover on it and keep sheets/topper over that.

I recently stayed at The Great Escapes Lodge in NY.  I was suprised to find eco friendly products in the rooms.  In fact I have back ailments for over 20 years due to an accident.  The mattress that was in the room was said to be provided by Anatomic Global.  If this is the same company, this is the best mattress I've slept on in 20 years.  Usually the first night at a hotel the mattress seems fine.  But after the second or third night you have an opinion.  Mind didn't change after the fourth night.  I NEED this mattress in my home.  I have contacted the company and I'm hoping to hear back as to how I can get one asap.  Really it's that good.  (BTW so good I took the tag off the mattress in hopes of finding the company, LOL)

I've also found them on Amazon.com if it helps.  I see 1599.00 for Queen but saw others saying they see it for 1299?

Anatomic global makes an awesome mattress!  We've had ours for 3 years and it's as good as the day we first got it.  It doesn't sleep hot like Tempurpedic.  I highly reccomend a mattress from this company!

My husband and I purchased the Anatomic Global Ascent mattress in May of 2011.  It was comfortable, however not "cooler" as claimed, until about 3 months ago.  My husband's side is the worst, but on both sides when we lay down now, we sink into a hammock-like hole.  When we get off the bed, it fluffs back up, but as soon as we sit on it or lay down, the "sink hole" comes right back.  Looking at the mattress without the sheets on, one can see that my husbands whole corner goes down and that there are two dips on the sides and a hump in the middle.  It took several weeks to get the mattress once we ordered it and then in December of 2011, the store we purchased it from closed its door and left other customers without their mattresses, so I have no store to contact and work with in getting our mattress problems solved.  I have contacted Anatomic Global by phone and left 2 messages so I am waiting to find out what they plan to do about this problem.  Like I said, it was comfortable at first but we now have a "hump" in the middle of our bed just like older mattresses we had for many years.  It is not what the salesman made it out to be.  It was much less expensive than Tempurpedic but still pricey.  The greener part isn't all that important if you look up about these memory foam mattresses.  This mattress is "plant based", which means soy based and for that reason breaks down faster than "non green" mattresses from what I understand.  I would love to hear more from others who have experiences with Anatomic Global mattresses.

I would like to know why your mattress is great and ours is sagging already!  Which mattress do you have?  Ours is the Ascent 6 (12" thick, 6 total layers).  Do you ever turn it? We were told that wasn't necessary for memory foam mattresses and it wasn't even a year old when it began sagging.  We have made contact with the Customer Service Manager at Anatomic Global, who has been very nice, but it has taken about 2 weeks to finally get a call from the "Mattress Marshalls", who are supposed to come look at our mattress and assess it for Anatomic Global.  They can't come until late in June so it will have taken 2 months just to get our mattress looked at!  And I have my doubts if their opinion will make any difference--I think we may be stuck with a bad, very expensive mattress!

We have an Ascent 4.  It was too firm in the begining, but we knew that it would be firm because the salesman said it would soften up a little bit...and he was right.

Yes, we rotate it once in a while, but neither of us are big people so beds last us a long time. (Not saying that you are)

We bought a less expensive Anatomic Global bed for the cabin and one for the guest room.  Both have worked well.

About a year ago, we bought this Eco bed from a firm in San Diego. It was pricey. We were assured that this would be an amazing bed. Our salesperson assured us that an Anatomic Global Eco bed was the best bed on the market.
Six months after our purchase, I began having horrible back aches. I have never had any back problems ever in my entire life. Then the pain started to radiate to my hips. This was so painful,  that i needed to sit with a heating pad on my back for hours at a time. I simply could not understand why i was in such pain. We have a vacation home, with a regular pillow top bed.  I slept on it for a week, and i thought i had a new body! I had not one pain--no back pain whatsoever. So, i knew it was the Eco Memory Foam bed.
I immediately contacted the vendor in SD, and was told that this should not be happening, and to contact the company immediately.
I then called the company, I spoke to the head of Customer Service, Elaine, who informed me that "The Mattress Police" had to come and inspect it, per my warranty.
Four un-returned calls later, and three more weeks of excruciating back pain, the inspector finally showed up. He declared that this was not in my head. I did indeed have a sagging mattress. I finally knew exactly where the back pain was coming from.
The next phone call I got from the company was ridiculous. I was informed that yes, my mattress did indeed sag. However, it only sagged 1/2 inch. For my warranty to kick in, it must be sagging 3/4 inch.
Elaine suggested that despite the horrific back pain, "maybe you should sleep on it another three months, then we will send the inspector out again." also, "We have done this before, (scheduling a second inspection.)".
What a ludicrous suggestion. To intentionally inflict more pain on my body just so her other 1/4 inch can be measured? To make my back hurt for another three months just for one quarter inch? Give me a break. How is that Customer Service?
My advice to you--Don't buy this bed, this model or any product from this company. Any company that wishes for you to be in constant pain just to satisfy the terms of their warranty doesn't care a single bit about their customer. Any so called "inspector" can make the results short a quarter of an inch. A sag is not a sag until it reaches their ridiculous parameters. The customer is not important here, not as important as a measurement. This bed will sag after 6 months, and cause you horrific pain in your back and hips. Buyer beware!!
