Any "custom" latex "stacker" mattress firms with showrooms in Atlanta or the Southeast?

Hi folks,

My search for sleepable is not yet over, after thousands of hours, $5000 worth of mattresses and toppers, perhaps 100 toppers and combos and at least 20 mattresses slept on at home, and at least one complete foam mattress in a bag.(Gold star buyer at overstock.com!)   I am a 60 year old side and back sleeper with lower back problems.  Wife 115 pound back sleeper that likes sleeping on concrete.  I gave up trying to accomplish that in one mattress and can't even find one for just me without the lower back pain.  I have eliminated mem foam... the sinking is hell on my lower back and way too hot.   I also know that my solution will be soft enough on top to not pinch my now muscle-less exterior but will support my butt well.

I think that a custom stacked latex mattress (Flobeds, sleepex, etc.) is my only remaining hope, but have learned that there is no substitute for at least lying on a prospective mattress in a showroom (or warehouse?) for any chance of success.  For me, a mattress can feel great in the showroom and terrible after 8 hours, several days, etc.  My home experience has gotten so awful that sleeping on any bed in a cheap hotel is better than my own bed.  I have tried to buy the mattress I slept on in hotels but they could never confirm which actual model it was.  (The industry private and change labeling makes mattress makers all worse than horse thieves.)

Since latex mattresses are big and heavy, a return guarantee can be more like a 60% return guarantee by the time you swallow shipping both ways... which is a reasonable proposition from the seller.  I suspect that most buyers decide to just live with what they get.  An exchange option for layers makes sense, but what does it cost to do that?

Having said all this, hopefully there is a supplier in the SE that will allow me to accelerate the process by trying various combos, and either put it in a rented van or have it shipped.

Custom stack latex showrooms should be popping up everywhere, with so many people unhappy with their mattresses and there being no places to buy them except online.

Thanks in advance.
