Do you want to sleep on coconut fibers, seaweed and horsehair?
I guess they make mattresses out of just about everything. Not sure how well it sleeps, but I am sure it is expensive. |

Interesting, thanks for the link. I found their crib mattress on amazon, and they weren't too expensive, comparatively. |

Anyway, sorry someone else mentioned this company (coco-mat) in another thread. I was quite interested in it, really just from the standpoint that it is all natural materials and completely unique. I wonder what the pricing and comfort is like. |
Coco-Mat
A store in NYC sells these and I've actually been debating buying one. They seem comfortable in the showroom. Might anyone own one and be kind of enough to post on their experiences? This message was modified Oct 24, 2010 by blaupunk

I didn't write any of the prices down. I was in a bit of a hurry when I was there. I recall he Atlas and Nefeli mattresses were each around $2700 for a King. I think the Iviskos topper was around $1400. The bases they sell seemed extremely expesnive, but I have a platform bed. The mattresses seemed comfortable in the short time I was on it. I plan to go back when I have more time in order to get the full details. I'll share any info I get when I do.. The layers of latex in the mattress aren't very thick, as you can see in the pictures on their website. (http://www.coco-mat.com/web/en/product/mattresses/atlas). Not sure how this relates to the overall comfort or longevity of the mattress. I'm not a very heavy person (M, 5'7", 145), so maybe it's not an issue..
