Does 100% natural talalay get firmer or softer over time?

Hi all,

Recently purchased a new layered mattress and am trying to decide between 2 configurations. One is a little softer, one a little bit too firm. I'm going to have to pick one or the other. I am wondering if those of you who have the 100% natural talalay, did you find that the mattress softened up a bit on its own over time, did it break in a bit? Or did it pretty much feel the same or firmer?

thank you!

I think people have said their latex will soften very slightly.  I don't think anyone has said it gets firmer.  But the change is slight, so you should try to be pretty comfortable with it when new, maybe erring on the side of slightly to firm, because it might soften or you can add 1" to soften it more.
