I just wondered what folks here think of the E.C.O. latex topper 2" from Overstock.http://www.overstock.com/Home-Garden/E.C.O.-Luxury-Latex-2-inch-King-size-Mattress-Topper/3960074/product.html They say it's Dunlop and when I asked them, they said it had an ILD of 19. Have people ordered it? Recommend it? It's got great reviews -- but I wonder how much the reviewers know about latex... |
I bought the ECO latex topper from Overstock last year (but in full size). It was wonderful at first, but developed a crater within several months, so I would steer clear of it.
Edited to add: I just looked at the specs for the full-size one, and it says "this topper is made from 20-percent natural latex." Well, that might explain why it cratered after just a few months. (Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think most Dunlop-processed toppers are usually 100% natural latex.) These specs were not listed when I bought mine last year. Funny, I wanted that very topper, but in full size. Before ordering I wrote to ask what the ILD was. Here is the reply I got:
"Thank you for contacting Overstock.com regarding the product information for the E.C.O. Luxury Latex 2-inch Full-size Mattress Topper. Upon researching this item a little further, I did find that this topper is 19 ILD and that it is 100% Natural Latex (Talalay)."

Has anyone else tried it -- and liked it? (or not) There's a 10% off coupom going right now but I don't want to just waste my money :) |
