Thanks for all the work you have all put into this site, it has been a tremendous help.

I have dug around and dug around and  my husband seems to like the idea of a FloBed as much as I do - neither of us 100%, but it's tops on the list at this point.

Now here we are at the foundation choice and I find it very interesting about the number of choices the FloBed company has to offer.  I've seen foundations for all sorts of companies and they all have a reason to state why pine, or maple or whatever is best.  I fully understand that in parts of the country certain woods are easier to come by.  I'm not stupid about wood, agree certain types of pine perform better than others and fir is a better choice overall as far as lumber goes   (I'm not serving dinner on it - even so had a pine table for many years). Given the choice I would choose the twenty slat fir over the dozen or so slat pine even if it is a bit more money.  So I was not feeling particularly picky on this topic, as various companies seem to have variations and all are limited, but here they go and toss in the choices and I'm tired of choices.

The Euro Slats are a new idea to me and I am highly curious about them. Beech is a nice wood and this particular system is very interesting, if not appearing as if it has the possibility to be a hassle.  Does anyone have any experience with these?
