I just got the Foam By Mail Terry Cloth Zippered Cover I ordered for my toppers. That meant I had to take everything off the bed to zip it all up - ugh!

The cover is supposed to be Terry Cloth, but it feels more like velour. It's nice and stretchy, and the zipper goes all the way around all 4 sides. I had to lay the cover out flat on the foundation, stack the toppers, fit the cover over it all and stretch the cover as I zipped it up. It wasn't difficult and it looks great, like an S mattress. The bottom of the cover has tiny textured dots that prevent everything from sliding on the foundation. Not really necessary when you have a ton of latex zipped up in it! The top part is washable, but the bottom is not.

The Queen size was $64.99, and holds 8" of latex. I have two 3" toppers (Extra Firm and Medium Firm), and one 2" topper (Medium Plush), with a cotton mattress pad on top.

Oh I would love the velour feel, terry cloth not so much.  Did it shrink when you washed it, did it leave a lot of lint in the dryer filter?

Hi Leo3! I didn't wash it before I put it on. I didn't think it was necessary since I put the mattress pad and my sheet over it, and I didn't want to take a chance on having it shrink.

I can see your logic.  For me since I can't stand mattress pads, they are too stiff and I feel the stitching, and I can't feel the latex, I would wash it and then put my sheet (jersey) over that.

How thick is the cover?  Is it thick enough that you wouldn't feel the latex holes?  I use a plush blanket over my latex, then the sheet, and I don't feel the holes.

By the way the last 10 days I have not been having hip pain (as bad, some though) since I put different tighter or maybe they are thicker sheets (jersey).  So any small change makes a big difference on the feeling and comfort of the latex.  So I will be searching for more of those sheets!

Are you still comfortable?  Other than sinking in when reading?

Sounds wonderful narnia! I have a thin micro-plush protector that feels like velour. I used it on my TP and it felt smooth and luxurious. If I could get it tight enough to not have a wrinkle, I would use it over my Flobed cover so as not to feel the stitching. Like Leo, I'm very sensitive to stitching, bunches, or wrinkles. Anything will set the hips to burning. Also, I prefer a smooth top. I've actually borrowed Leo's set-up of using a blanket under my bottom sheet. It's cozy and smooth.

Rearranging/ redoing the bed is a task, but seems like you've got a great set up going!cool

The terry cloth cover isn't thick at all, not even as thick as a bath towel. But it's very stretchy. Since you seem to be sensitive, I think you would feel the holes through this cover.

Good idea using the jersey sheets, I'm so glad to hear you're relatively free of pain now!smiley

Yes I'm very comfortable, I love my latex mattress and pillows. I don't read in bed, I was just complaining about my butt sinking in when I sit up to get out of bed. Oh well, I guess that's just the nature of latex.

Natalia, couldn't you put another thin topper over your Flobed cover and then encase it in the protector? That would make it fit snugly and not wrinkle.
