Good quality foam

Even if you take your mattress apart and add your own new foam, you really can't get good foam now can you? That has been my experience anyway. I found this on a mattress forum and found it interesting. This is a new posting, so it pertains to the new mattresses. Spring Air contracts companies located throughout the US to produce their product line. I know for a fact that some of their contractors sourced sub-standard foam to cut manufacturing costs which created sub-standard product specifically on the higher-end pillowtops. Spring Air has canceled many contracts with third party companies and even closed some of their own facilities...Phoenix being the last one that I know of. As far as many of the complaints listed here, they all point to poor quality products and not improper mattress selection. I have to both agree and disagree. Problems as dramatic as these are rarely single sourced. High end bedding, even with a quality line, tend to loose their shape quickly. The bad choice of buying a high end mattress is propagated by the salespeople promising performance that isn't characteristic of top lime models. Spring Air's problem aside. |
