While searching the internet I came across this website http://latexmattressshop.com/index.php/latex-toppers/02-topper . They have great prices, so contacted them trying to find out the ILD and makers of their latex. They replied promptly and provided good information on the ILD. They claim to make thier own latex. I understand that they are very few good makers of latex, ie Latex International and Latex Green (which I have thier toppers). Has anyone purchased from this company? Seems funny. |
I doubt some small company is going to make their own latex. I think it is a pretty capital intensive process. So, I already question their honesty. Usually you get what you pay for, so I would be leery. |
Their "About us" section says: " In addition, we have a strong 14-year track record in the business with 12 retail stores across the Phoenix Metro area. We also have a huge factory with over 55,000 square feet of manufacturing space." |
An update: Had a nice reply from "Chuck" that he apololgized to lack of information. He states they get their latex from Latex International and they cut it at their location. Sent another email back asking for latex verison, ie Tala Tech. |
So, they have changed their story about making their own latex? I really doubt it is Latex International. Their website says 100% natural dunlop (at least the products I looked at). As far as I know, LI does not sell dunlop in the U.S. Also, the pricing looks too low to be LI (especially 100% natural). Sounds like you probably have a salesperson that does not really know what he is talking about. Possibly telling you what you want to hear or what will help sell the product. If it really is LI latex, it is a good deal, but I remain skeptical. This message was modified Feb 15, 2012 by sandman

UPDATE: Contacted Latex International and they do supply their latex to his company. Also the prices of Dunlop are pretty close to RMM and SW. Waiting a reply from Latexmattressshop on prices for the Tala Tech. So far they have been really helpful. We will wait. |
Are they claiming that LI makes the dunlop toppers? They are probably made by Latex Green. That is who makes the dunlop for RockyMountain. Yes, the prices are pretty close to RMM for dunlop toppers. RMM use to have good prices on LI 100% natural talalay toppers, but they stopped carrying them (at least no longer on their website). |
