Just ordered 3" layers each of LUX-HQ and HD36-HQ as foundation for girlfriend's new queen-size bed, and found something quite odd. It's known here that FBM (foambymail) seems to have several alternative websites (foamdistributing, foamfactory). Anyhow, if you go to foamdistributing.com and click on Products and then "Lux - High Quality" under "Conventional Foam Mattress" you see a price of $94.25 (for what I'm trying to buy, 3"-thick queen-size). If you go to thefoamfactory.com and click on Mattresses->Conventional, you must type in a custom size to get LUX-HQ (they only list LUX-R in the standard-size secion) and the price is $172. Both websites have the same phone number and the logos say "Foam Factory Inc" and "The Foam Factory", respectively. I called them, and they assured me they were the same product and could offer no explanation for the price disparity. Seems pretty strange. |
