How does one's "RANK" get figured on this forum?
This falls under "What'sTheBest-Mattress.com TRIVIA: I really don't even care but my curiosity has made me wonder from time to time how one gets "ranked" on this site. I have wondered this before and thought about asking but now I'm asking because I observed the following: Yesterday or the day before I am pretty sure my ranking rating looked different. Now I see I have 4 stars but the first 2 are a different color. What does all this mean? I have to wonder: Did I do something wrong?! Or right...? What caused my Ranking to change? Was it something I said?? How does this ranking system work? This message was modified Feb 9, 2010 by jimsocal

You have insulted too many other posters, so you have been downgraded.... Seriously, who knows, but I think the "silver" stars are higher rank than the "orange" stars. So, it appears you have moved up a rank. Now we have to salute you... This message was modified Feb 9, 2010 by sandman

Re: How does one's "RANK" get figured on this forum?
That's not nice! That's mean! I've still got a bunch of 3lb memory foam that I am thinking of throwing out but sometimes it helps if we have too much company and someone has to sleep on the floor. I threw out my Sealy foam the day I opened 'er up! Same with the Englander! Here's how the ranking system works: Points and RankEvery user is assigned points based on the number of topics, replies, and reviews each has posted. This is based on each user's total posts, usually regardless of whether or not those posts are still available online. There are slightly different weights depending on the type of post: 1 discussion post = 1 pointEach user is also assigned a rank based on his/her points. Rank is little more than a graphical representation of the user's points. There are several levels in the rank:
Now I've got something to work towards! |
