My boyfriend has a pillow top mattress for which he paid a lot of money last year. – I have chronic back problems, therefore I can’t sleep in his bed…the sinking-feeling makes me wake up constantly, and my whole body aches in the morning…not a pleasant experience at all. But he LOVES his mattress, so we needed to find an alternative. -I bought a 2-inch extra firm mattress topper for ‘my side of the bed’; but since I placed it directly on the pillow top, it still sinks in because the base is not firm enough. I read many people puts wood underneath, any recommendations on what kind? Should I glue it to the topper for extra firmness? Or, I was also wondering whether I could remove the pillow top from my side only? – any help/thoughts will be much appreciated. --Andrea This message was modified Jan 30, 2013 by andreaf

how to make a pillow top mattress firmer: wood underneath topper for half the bed? or removing half of the pillow top?
