Latex beds and adjustable frames?
Okay this is question 2 of 3 I'm posting (as a newbie to latex beds and it having been 12 years since I purchased a bed). I've seen a lot of discussion about what foundations or box-springs to get with a latex bed. Well, due to my apnea and occasional body aches/pains (gotta love turning 40!!) I am seriously considering an adjustable bed (the S-Cape to be speciffic). My question is if it is even recommended to combine a latex mattress and adjustable bed (aka does it wear down or damage the latex, or shorten it's durability? Will bending and raising a latex mattress appreciably alter it's comfort and support?) Also just in general if anybody has had experience with adjustable frames and can share their experience (do they break down a lot? what are some "gotchas" to watch out for? How complicated are they to deal with if you move (like bed frames you can usually take apart and move easily or store easily))? I'm not sure but I'm just going to assume that using and adjustable bed frame basically replaces needing to purchase a box spring, foundation, or even a bed frame.. yes? Thanks again to everybody who so kindly is contributing to this site to help us "clueless ones" out here! Richiro P.S. okay i lied i think.. I forget what Q3 is so there won't be a 3rd post.. yet (gotta love turning 40!! lol.. mind can't remember a thing!!!) This message was modified Feb 12, 2009 by richiro
