Local wholesale manufacturer says they can make me a full size plush mattress for less than $400?
I called a local wholesale manufacturer of mattresses (they produce them locally), and I was told that they could make me a full-size plush one-sided innerspring mattress for $325 or a 2-sided flippable plush mattress for $375. The wire guage is 13. I'm not sure if this price includes the box spring, though. Anyway, the person told me they have been producing mattresses wholesale to the industry for 20 years, but only recently have been selling to the public. He said they make some store-brand mattresses. I'm planning to stop by just to see what the mattresses look like. Do you tend to think that the quality of their mattresses must not be too good, since they are charging less than $400 for a full-size plush innerspring mattress? I can't find anything about this company online (I don't think they have a website), so it's not a brand name mattress like Hastens. Their overhead must be low. Can this mattress be of any quality for $325/$375? Thanks for any info or advice. I have to find a mattress soon. This message was modified Oct 8, 2007 by centralpark

Please report back what the specific components are. Several inches of polyurethane comfort layer foam with an "eye candy" cover will rapidly degrade, resulting in body depressions. Comparison video. |

Sager, I'll see what I can do to find out the specifications of the mattress. What's frustrating is that so many mattresses have the foams that don't stand up really well. There's too many complaints of people rolling towards the center of their mattresses, deep body impressions, etc. |
