I am looking for a latex topper to soften up my spring matress.  Does anyone have any expierence with this one?

It seems reasonably priced but I don't want to waste my money on a crappy product.

22 ild Dunlop sonds too firm for me. 19 ILD Latex International is a good starting point, 1" makes more difference than you think, i was surprised. I have been buying from sleeplikeabear. make sure you buy from a place that will allow returns, almost impossible to get it right the first time. i have many pieces that i could not return, learned the hard way.

Will they send you a sample?   Does foamsource not take returns?  You still have to pay shipping both ways to return to sleeplikeabear.  Not bad, but not free.  22ILD Dunlop sounds firm?  I have 28ILD talalay and that seems almost to soft to me.  I think it is very personal to each and every one of us.  One inch was not enough for me.  It depends on what your needs are.  You don't know til you try.  I can't say I know how firm 22ILD is but the description says soft.  Good luck to us all.

Thanks for the replies.  I think I will try it out and see what it's like.  Never used a latex topper, or any topper at all, so I guess it will be worth a shot.

Let us know how you like it.  Did you read the returns page at their website?  It says 10 days on internet latex toppers for exchange only I think.  They do not resell the toppers, they donate them and they have to be returned no stains.  It doesn't say about shipping costs, only to contact them for RMA.  But hopefully it will not have to be returned.  At least it is made in the USA.

Good luck, keep us posted.

By the way, is your spring mattress still good?  No indentations?  Just thought I would mention that if the mattress had dips or valleys the topper won't help.  But guess you probably already know that.

The mattress seems to be in pretty fair shape, just a little hard.

I haven't got it ordered yet but I am going to this week.

Keep us posted on how the latex topper looks and works for you.  Good luck.  I am curious how Dunlop toppers really are.  Since mine are a mystery latex topper that is suppose to be natural latex, it could be Dunlop or Talalay from O-Stock.  I think I still need a softer topper.

I got the topper here and slept on it the first night.  It seems good to me.  It sure softened up my spring mattress.  So far I like it a lot.

Eric, I am so glad to hear that.

How was the packaging?  Was it wrapped in angel hair or light fabric and put in a plastic bag?  Or was it vacuum packed?

No flaws?

take picture if you can.  I really wonder if my Overstock.com is dunlop.  I think you will find that firmer and not squish down like blended talalay.

Keep us posted after a few week or months.

It was folded and rolled up in a plastic bag then put in the box.

I didn't see any flaws in it.  The topper looks basically like the picture on their site except around the edge there is about an inch wide strip were there are no holes as well as a few strips throughout the topper with no holes in it.

What should I do for a cover for it?
Right now I just laid it on top of the mattress and put the mattress protector over it all.

Eric,

All you need to do is what you have done.  Is it comfortable?  Not sure what the mattress protector is, is it comfortable?  It protects your latex from sunlight and stains, though the latex is easy to clean I have found.

Do you think it is as soft as you hoped it would be?  Or firmer than you though?
