Hi, everyone,

I'm only 30 yrs old and have had 2 major spine surgeries in the past 6 months. I am in desperate need of a good night's sleep, and your opinions on the following would be greatly appreciated. ;)

So I just received my latex from foambymail, and the good news is that my back felt pretty well sleeping on it,  but unfortunately it is a bit firm for my taste. FYI I am about 6ft and 200lb, and tend to sleep on my side/stomach. I tend to do better with firm beds b/c of my bad back, but I like a bit softer feel in terms of comfort.

Here's what I ordered (latex from foambymail):
1 King 6" Firm ILD Latex core
1 King 2" Medium ILD Latex topper
1 King Costco Cuddlebed topper
(on top of a 2/3" sheet of strong plywood over a nice king frame base with numerous slats)

What do you guys think I should do to make it a bit softer? I am thinking about getting a 1" soft latex topper, or even two of them. I'm also entertaining the idea of having a middle layer of memory foam. Because I threw an old 4lb 3" memory foam topper in between the latex, and this definitely softened it up nicely, but a little too much. So I am considering the idea of getting a 1" or 2" layer of memory foam to put in between the latex (i don't want it on top b/c i don't like that sinking-in effect).. such as sensus 5lb or even Venus 8lb memory foam.

So, in summary, to soften it, I'm considering:
1. Add (on top)  a 1" soft latex topper, or even two 1" soft latex toppers
2. Add (in the middle) a 1" or 2" memory foam layer (either sensus 5lb or venus 8lb)
3. Combination of the above

What do you all think? Thanks in advance. ;)
Mike
