Ok, first night on the new bed. We got the eastern king with the foundation. DH is 6'4" and about 230, I am 5'6" and 130. This is our first latex foam purchase.

The foundation on my side of the bed is squeaking already. Not loud, but that is disappointing. Will definately be sending it back when we have another foundation set. Otherwise, it is very solid.

We both slept painlessly, for the first time in a long time. DH loved it and woke up once in the night. He said it is perfect and was raving about it this am.

While I didn't experience the lower back pain that I did with my old mattress, I woke up a lot throughout the night, which I usually do anyway, so obviously not the fault of the bed. I felt like I was laying on top of the mattress and not really sinking in much. It was comfortable, but not cushy like I expected.

We will be giving it a good, 2-month or so test to see how it works out. Maybe it will soften up a bit over time? It's definately not hard, but I just wanted a little more cush. I'll update this periodically.

Since it's an E. King it is equivalent to two twins side by side. So you could add a super-soft Talalay topper to only your side. Yes, it would create a difference between the two sides but unless one of you is prone to sleeping over the center portion, it should not be a problem.  Or you could buy a king size and see if your husband is bothered by it.

Thanks for the review and keep us posted!

you arent going to get a sink in feeling, that is foam, not latex...i prefer foam but it doesnt prefer me in that i wake up in pain, so i use the latex...with latex you feel as if you are on top of it not in it, but that is the way a spring mattress is as well...

i had same initial reaction as you so i bought a 2 inch foam topper from overstcck, which makes it much more cushy, but it defeats the purpose of the latex in the first place and results in lower back pain, etc....

i have finally realized that the only way I will be perfectly happy is with an adjustable frame, very expensive but ultimately that is what i will have

Actually, it's two Twin XL's side-by-side. A Twin XL topper may be a little more difficult to find.

Fact that can be verified is the truth that foundation is bad, not only because it is squeaking but because it is just badly made.

Sooo, I'm not loving this bed. It's too firm for me. DH loves it. I've tried the cuddlebed topper from Costco, and the 3 inch memory foam from Costco. The cuddlebed isn't enough, and the MF is too much. On the flip side, the foundation has stopped squeaking, so at least that is better. I had made the decision that if I didn't LOVE this bed, I would send it back and get a SleepEZ or Flobed. I'm thinking that is going to be in the works in the next month or so. I'm pretty disappointed.

My husband hates the squeaking sound, but I like it. Reminds me of my bed I shared with my sisters growing up.

I'm glad you found a bed you like. I would never think Cosco would have that.

I'm sorry your bed is not working out for you. Don't think SleepEz is the answer either. I am having issues with mine right now. Our backs don't ache anymore because we decided to go firmer since it is talalay, but there is no easy answer.

The one thing I would have done different I think is to get the core in a 6" instead of 3 layers. You can always soften up a mattress. Have you tried a soft talalay topper?, mine is too soft like a marshmellow. SleepEz has better prices than flobeds, but Foambymail is even much cheaper, but not sure of the quality of their foam. Ours is just blended, and you can get that anywhere.

It would take too long and too much money for me to try every method and layering, so this search for the perfect comfort I am realizing may not exist.
