My take on Tempur Cloud after one week of ownership

My king size Tempur Cloud was delivered last Saturday along with my Rhapsody pillow & Cloud pillow.

The chemical smell is still very strong 1 week later.

At first, I woke up with a sore/stiff back, but that has all but stopped it seems. Looks like it was simply my body adjusting as I suspected. My body is still adjusting to it, but it is a lot better than the 1st couple nights & I am sleeping well & wasking up ok. I can't say that it's the best sleep I've ever had or I am waking up with more energy, but I never was a morning person. :)

We originally were going to buy the Cloud Supreme, but after much thought, I felt that it may be too soft for my back. So far, I am glad I went with the regular Cloud instead.

The Rhapsody pillow was too high for me & my lady ended up not liking the Cloud pillow too much so I put the Rhapsody back in the box & am sleeping on the Cloud, which is much better for my neck, but I still need a different pillow b/c the Cloud only comes in standard size. Thinking I might buy the Tempur side pillow.

Overall, I would say I am happy w/the mattress so far. Just wish the smell would go away.

I would like to add an ergo base at a later date, but a brand not named Tempur due to price. I don't need massage, just up & down.

I will report back after another 2 or so weeks on it.

Thanks for the update!  That is a mattress I tried out several times.  At Sleep Train, the gal often said 'just walk around on the mattress to break it in and release the smell'.  I always thought that was strange.

I'll bet that Cloud holds up pretty well.  I've had a Tempurpedic Symphony pillow for several years.  It's a little firm for my liking now, but it's the same as the day I bought it.

I generally sleep hot regardless. I would not say that I sleep much hotter, if at all, on this than my old spring mattress.

Thats good to know, we ordered our Allura bed today, it will be coming on Friday.  We got 2 free symphony pillows so i"m glad to hear those hold up well from the other poster.

Tompa, thanks.  You can keep the input coming later.

I might be back in the market again.  Regular Cloud would be about top of the list for next one.

Glad you see a different feeling when you wake up.  I was looking into the pillows.  I might take the plunge on the Cloud pillow on this review of it once I get my bonus check.

I don't think the Cloud pillow is going to work out for me either. I hav a stiff neck in the morning. See my pillow talk thread.

Another week has gone by  the mattress is still good to go. However, I now notice that I do sleep hotter. Nothing that is making me sweat or anything, but a little hotter nonetheless. Nothing the fan can't fix either.

I do believe I am getting a much better night's sleep now.

Thanks for the update.  I like the regular cloud quite a bit although it's a wee firm for me.  with only 2.8" memory foam, it's lean.  I like what I see in the TP Contour Select.  4" memory foam, 10" mattress height.
