The ratings for these are as follows:
I don't like beds that are too soft, I like some firmness and supportiveness but without feeling like im lying on a rock (I work in IT and get aches and pains on my body, hence wanting latex for the pressure relief)... but the problem is despite laying on a latex I have never slept on one, so am not 100% sure how to judge this effectively. So before I press the order button... would you guys say that it would indeed be a good idea to go a hardness grade up to H3 RG80 on a large natural latex mattress, if there are going to be two people sleeping on it? I can't tell. Most of that translated page is not translated, and the firmness ratings are not something I'm familiar with. I will say that the mattress looks a little thin, maybe 6", and we are used to latex mattresses that are at least 8"-10" here. I'd be concerned that it would bottom out because it isn't thick enough. My mattress is 3 cores, 32ILD/36ILD/36ILD and that's firm with a little give. There is a soft 2" topper on top of that. |
| Hi Kimberly thanks for the reply. It has a 15cm vore and the total height is 18cm... quite normal for a latex mattress from the research i've done! |

I can't really make sense of the description, even in English! One place it says 15cm and one place it says 18cm and I have no idea what the firmness numbers mean. How about getting the equivalent of two single mattresses and put them together side by side, one for your girlfriend and one for you? Also, are there no places you can buy one that have a sleep trial in which you can try it and then send it back if it doesn't work? Here in the U.S. that's how we do it, at least at the places we like, on this forum. I'd be hesitant to buy a latex matress I could not return. Some people just don't like the feel of an all-latex mattress. Love those European ads though! Much sexier than American ads! I can't buy 2x 80cm mattresses... im still young enough to like sleeping all nextled up in the middle of my bed with my sexy girlfriend, and a gap in the middle (no pun intended) kind of ruins the experience. As for the hardness ratings they're not complicated to understand and explain it quite clearly on the page... H2 is for "up to 80KG" and H3 is for "120KG and lower", which just means it will be more suitable for two people whereas the H2 would have been a bit soft for the combined weight of two. I went ahead and bought one anyway... should recieve it early next week... i'll let you know how it goes! |

You can have 2 seperate firmnesses in a King size bed, one side softer, one side firmer, with no gap down the middle, they just sit next to each other. Look at Flobeds.com for the idea of what I mean. But anyway, since you did buy one of these, let us know how it goes. |
