I had asked about a bed type in a blog a long while back, and just today got a reply from Bruce, The Mattress Man. Has his own store, has 30 yrs. experience, and could be another good source of input here. I will write to him and see if he wants to add from his knowledge base.
(PS) From just looking at the blog part of his site, looked like he knows what is in his mattresses and has good prices.

Good research resource! The blog seems reasonably objective (for a vendor). The Stress-O-Pedic website referenced in his blog provides much more information about their products than the typical next-to-worthless "eye-candy" mattress websites.

Interesting blog. I noticed he mentions the bankruptcy of Simmons and how Serta came to the rescue. What is also interesting is that in 3 local furniture stores in my area that carry Serta and Simmons, Sealy is no longer carried. Of course the sales staff just gives the line "Sealy mattresses just aren't what they used to be, so we no longer carry them". Of course NO mattress is made the way they used to be, but hey, why quibble. Any company that can make a great mattress and be honest about their product is a great new resource for the consumer, so thanks.

This guy Bruce at Dreamland Mattress Company in Covina California concerns me.

He has no website that I could find, but rather does business off of craigslist, and the Better Business Bureau has no record of him. So I would have my concerns about doing business with an individual like this even though he claims to have been in the business for 30 years.

I am in no way questioning his knowledge about mattresses, and he may be fine to do business with, but as I just indicated it is a concern to me when a business does not keep a web address but rather uses craigslist to sell merchandise, and the Better Business Bureau has no record of his business whatsoever.

I googled his business name several different times, and came up with nothing. Even the craigslisting, that came up when I ran Google, has been removed.

I was mostly thinking that he could add input here since he seems to know mattresses. No personal endorsement.
