Ordering foam mattress from FBM

I'm thinking about sleeping on PU foam, since i like the feel of it (latex is too 'bouncy' and i don't really like memory foam). I've found some good mattresses from Otis Beds, but don't really know other manufacturers that make PU foam beds.

Emailed with guy at FBM, and he suggested 8" of HD-high quality (36) foam--think it has ILD of 38--by itself, with, i guess, the option of adding toppers. This bed would be about $400 cheaper than an Otis Bed, but i'm wondering if it would be supportive and comfortable. Motion transfer is a big concern, too--would a latex topper affect that at all?

Anyone sleep on anything like this? Thanks for suggestions/recommendations!!

My experience has been that even a 6" latex (talalay or dunlop doesn't seem too different to me), is a complete motion transfer stopper. Topper might cause some slight transfer so pick the right one for you. Most importantly is the bedframe. You will notice if you put pure latex on the floor, you can jump on the left side and the right side won't feel a thing. Put it on a wheeled steel frame or cheap do-it-yourself wood and you will feel movement.

What kind of setup do you have?
