Adjusting shredded latex pillows = one of the biggest nightmares I've ever seen

I tried adusting my new shredded latex pillows.  I was advised to simply take out the latex until I reach the desired firmness. That sounded simple enough.

What I didn't count on was that this activity would turn my home into a catastrophe. Latex got EVERYWHERE!

All over my floor, and bed, and clothes.  It's very sticky too.  It is quite difficult to get off my clothes.  Using a broom and dustpan is highly ineffective and cleaning it up, and it sticks to them too.    Also, when i try to discard the contents of the dustpan, chunks of the latex blow back out onto the floor.

This is a freakin' nightmare.  I wish I would have known this before I started taking out shredded latex.  Had I known this would happen, I would have went over to the house of my worst enemy, and performed this activity there.

I do not own a vacuum cleaner but I might have to buy one exclusively to try to deal with this problem.

Will a vacuum cleaner have difficulties sucking up insane amounts of shredded latex?sad

How about using a lint brush?  I used that to get foam that was stuck to the Sealy Truefoam mattress outer covering.   You think they could do a better job before they sell those mattresses.  I took the zippered cover off to flip the mattress over and saw all the tiny foam pieces.  Never got them all off either.  But the lint brush got lots off.

I had a similar experience with shredded foam in a pillow.  I washed it (don't know why I forgot foa pieces were inside the pillow) and the pillow came apart, so tiny pieces of foam were all over the pillowcases, sheets, etc.  I had to rewash and rewash the wash again and was finding foam shavings still on pillowcases for a while.  I would find it in the dryer.  I will NEVER use foam pieces again.  Lesson learned.
