Baybed or European Sleepworks?
Does anyone have any experience with either company? I am intruged by their designs using coils topped with latex. Thanks. |
Re: Baybed or European Sleepworks?
Are you referring to Bay Bed and Mattress in Santa Cruz? http://www.baybed.com/ This is where I bought our two XL long twin mattresses and we love them. Inside an Eastern King frame pushed together. I'm not sure what you mean by the zippered mattress covers being too thick and hard. Did you try them all? Some have a softer fabric. The one I chose is just like a cover you would see on a readymade mattress. It's got some filling in the quilted top and the zipper is of industrial quality. Durable and just the right amount of "plush". The fire resistant felt edging is built into the cover. We've been very pleased with our mattresses and it's been almost 3 years. Earlier on I did a lot of "tweaking" to get the inside layers "just right". It wasn't always perfect. It's after I found a topper from Penney's called Dream Coil made out of Omalon that I finally found the perfect match for our backs. Over that I have a Cuddlebed topper from Costco. Just the right amount of cushion and support. I haven't opened up our mattresses in close to two years. I have different ILDS of latex and high density polyfoam on hand should we ever want to switch them out. But, so far, no need to. |
