Component style inner spring mattresses?

I am looking for a component-style inner spring mattress - by which I mean a separate inner spring core with a separate quality topper. So if the topper goes bad you can just buy a new one, no need for surgery. The Dux is the only one I know about, but they are over priced and have a bad sleep policy (no exchanges). Just wondering if any other companies offer an inner spring core with a latex topper? Thanks.

I'm in Seattle. That link looks like a single integrated mattress - springs and latex inside the mattress. I am looking for a system that has the springs separate from the topper. So if I dont like the topper at least I can make changes while keeping the core (springs) the same. Maybe I misread?

This vendor (Bay Bed) makes the mattresses with zippered covers, so you can change the foam that goes on top of the innerspring. You can put whatever you like in there (and you can still add a topper if you want, but you might not need to). He offers several models, probably with different kinds of innersprings.

I haven't found anyone else who does this, using springs as a core instead of poly foam or latex. It's such a great idea, you'd think more of the independent manufacturers would start offering something like it.

I'm tempted to have him ship me a mattress, and I'm in NY (he said shipping a full-size mattress to NY would cost about $250). If I knew what kind of springs would work the best for me, I'd probably do it. All I know so far is what doesn't work for me (described in exhaustive detail here).

Sorry to hear you're still not liking your mattress. You certainly gave it a heck of a try.

Well I see that Royal Pedic has toppers designed to go on either their spring or latex beds. See http://www.royalpedic.com/RPPads.asp

maybe even pricier than dux though...
