Costco's 12" latex adjustable bed (Leggett & Platt)
Hi everyone, Does anyone have any opinions about Costco's 12" latex adjustable bed? Due to some circulations problems, I am interested in buying my first latex bed that will allow me to elevate my legs. It has 9.5" of Talalay latex (from Latex International), with 1.75" of convoluted foam (not latex?) for the plush side. There's no mention of what the ILD is for the latex, but it's supposed to be a firm mattress. I'm a very large guy (450 lbs. or so), no back problems and tend to be a side sleeper, but I prefer a soft bed Will this mattress be supportive enough? I somehow have a feeling I may need to add another topper to the bed to make it more plush & soft. Latex topper, perhaps? I hate to buy something sight unseen, as this bed is really pricey; but from reading the forums that Costco is pretty good about honoring the lifetime warranties on mattresses even after a few years. I've never heard of Leggett & Platt, except reading here that people say they use cheap coils. But with the Costco association maybe it's worth a risk? I am going to IKEA tomorrow to lay down on a latex mattress just to see what it feels like... Any thoughts will be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance! |

Leggett & Platt MAKES the coils. In fact, they manufacture a huge percentage of innersprings for mattress companies. They made my LuraFlex. I have a link to their different model coils, however I'm not on my computer, so will send it later. They have all different types and guages to suit everyone's comfort level. |
