My wife and I are considering putting together a foam/latex bed from FBM...details still to be determined...still learning so much from this site...

My question is:  We want to go from a Queen to a King.  I would assume we need to replace the legs and foundation?  Do I still need a box spring when making a transition to foam/latex?   If I still need the legs/rails and box spring, where would you guys recommend buying a king set?  I don't see anything on FBM...  Also what type would you recommend?

For about $100 more including shipping you could get something more like furniture, good reviews, matching accessories available, no headboard for the King though.

I went for the KD wood foundation so I could have it on casters that are part of the steel bed frame.  The steel frame also connects to a headboard.

The folding steel frame doesn't have the casters.  I was also concerned with the steel rods being too narrow to properly support the latex slabs.

Another alternative (if you live near an Ikea store) would be to take a look at Ikea's beds.  They sell platform beds with slats; adjustable beds with slats; platform beds with slats and storage drawers underneath; and various wood bed slat inserts to go into wood frames.
