I have been reading post shere and based on some of them I am thinking about ordering latex mattress from Costco. Still I have doubts. I am confused about the mattress fondation.
1. Would that foundation fit on my existing queen bed frame? 2. would it fit on the iron rails fixed on my queen size bed? 3. and if that would I have to remove foot board of my queen size bed in order to lay down the mattress foundation to rest on the iron rails situated on the sides of my qeen size bed? 4. Could I just fold up the legs of the foundation and place it on the iron rails of my queen size bed or do I have too use the legs of the latex foundation to get the maximum stability for the foundation? 5. how stable will the foundation be? would it start creaking in a short time span of use? 6. what is the firmness level of the mattress? I prefer soft on top and firm in the rest of the layers. I have so many questions but bear with me. Appreciate your generous input.

how long does it take for them to deliver the bed? The problem that vexes me is the creaking of the metal foundation. If I put the foundation with legs on its own on the floor plus the latex mattress on it, the metal foundation will start making a creaking noise soon.
plus my frame is wooden with only 3 wooden planks as central support. so that will break the wood if i put the foundation without legs on the wooden railings with only 3 wooden planks as central support. should i get more wooden planks and put them as central support? or should i just get a heavy duty iron side rail with central support? which would be a better choice? or should i just remove my wooden rail with 3 wooden planks as central support from the headboard and the footboard and just put the foundation on the legs that come with it and put the latex mattress on top of that? but then it would start creaking as others mentioned. please help me, I am so desperate. I too have a bad back that is very troublesome.

I don't see how creaking and back pain are even in the same ballpark. If you need a bed and your back hurts, just order the thing. If it starts creaking, return it to Costco after you secure a better foundation. |
