Email reply from Carpenter:

JC Penneys no longer sell the Dream Coil topper. Can you tell me where I can purchase the product?

Unfortunately that product has been discontinued. I would recommend the Isotonic 2 sided topper which is half the same foam as Dream Coil and half memory foam. Currently it is only available at Bon Ton (which is a Northeastern store) but it is available on their website: http://www.bonton.com/product/bed+%26+bath/featherbeds+%26+toppers/carpenter+isotonic+topper.do

It is $129.  Since I am not a fan of memory foam I will pass on that one.  Just thought someone would like to know it has been discontinued.

Thanks for the info, Leo. I'm happy that I was able to buy a King and two XL Twins while they were still available. And, at a bargain price. I wonder why they discontinued them. Maybe since they have a lifetime warranty, they weren't making money on them. :) Or, it could be they just weren't selling. I've noticed that Omalon seems to be used more as PART of a softer foam such as memory foam. Myself, I'm glad I was able to get it by itself.

In the meantime, there's always this poly pad from Brylane Home. I'm not sure how long it will hold up compared to Omalon. But at least it's not memory foam.

Not sure how it compares to this one from Penneys:

Thanks Beddybye.  I wonder why they do discontinue selling good products.  Probably cost them too much to guarantee for life?  Maybe they didn't sell well.  Who knows.  Good for you getting those while they had them.  Reminds me of good restaurants that close, you never can understand why they close.

I wonder if anyone has tried the coiled foam topper at Brylanes, I think the shaped coils would bug me.  Not sure what I need to put on top of the latex toppers, since I can't tell what it feels like with the fabric cover over it.
