Dunlop core and 1 or 2 Talalay toppers - is this the way to go?
looking to purchase new med firm/firm queen with 6" Dunlop base layer and 2"-3" Talalay topper. What are pros/cons for purchasing mattress with layes fixed (w/ adhesive) vs unfixed? |
Re: Dunlop core and 1 or 2 Talalay toppers - is this the way to go?
It's all very much personal preference. Dunlop base plus Talalay top is one way to go, all Talalay is another, Talalay on top of HR or Mgrade foam is another... Dunlop is just TOO firm for many people, like myself. I just plain don't like it. Fact is, even Talalay by itself with no springs feels too weird, to me and some others. While others love it. Unfortunately you just have to try some things and if you read a lot here you might get an idea of where you may fall in the spectrum. Best would be if you could find some latex foam in your area to lay on, to see how it feels. Be aware though that many of the Big S co's are using synthetic latex which is a whole other thing, not really recommended. |
