I layed down on a latex said to be European latex by the customer rep at Mattress firm.
It did not feel good at all. Soft feeling and bed is almost as expenisve as temperpedic beds!

I though latex is only 2: dunlop and lallay.
from where is this European latex coming from??

To be more specific:

Dunlop or Talalay (not "lallay") refers to the MANUFACTURING PROCESS for making the latex foam, NOT to the PLACE of manufacture.  Theoretically, either type of latex foam could be MADE anywhere in the world.  It so happens that MOST Dunlop seems to be made in Asia (with some being made in the US) and MOST Talalay latex seems to be made in the US - at least most of us are most familiar with Latex International, the largest US manufacturer of Talalay latex.

Latex foam is also MANUFACTURED in Europe, though, as Budgy says, the raw rubber is likely SOURCED in Asia.

I understand the use of latex mattresses is much more prevalent in Europe than it currently is in the US.
