Hi All, What would you recommend as a good foundation for our 9 or 11" latex bed? I'd like something that's not too expensive, but I want to make sure it's sufficient to support our mattress well... Here are a few options I'm looking at:
Thanks for your thoughts on this! Take care, --Kyle |

Why not just get a bed frame? They're cheaper, more portable, and you have tons of available storage under your bed. Metal & foldable: http://www.amazon.com/Queen-Size-Bi-Fold-Folding-Frame/dp/B002SDIJJG/ref=sr_1_1?s=gateway&ie=UTF8&qid=1285561244&sr=8-1 Metal + wood slats: http://www.amazon.com/Handy-Living-Full-Wood-Frame/dp/B002KQ5KQ6/ref=sr_1_8?s=gateway&ie=UTF8&qid=1285561147&sr=8-8 |
Well, I have a nice wood bed frame already that needs a regular 7-10" foundation. I found locally owned furniture store that builds their own wood slat foundations for $274 (7") and another one that has a 9" wood slat frame for only $140. So, I'm going to go take a look at those two today and probably pick from them! :) Thanks for the suggestion Mark! Take care, --Kyle |
What foundation did you end up going with? I'm looking as well... |
Kyley, Looks like you and I are in the same area, where did you end up for your foundation, as I think I will be in the market for a couple very soon? |
I've realised that a lot of the foam mattresses go on regular boxsprings, but the tempurpedic voids the warranty if you use traditional boxsprings. Does any one know why that would be? I want to use my older boxspring I already have for a new foam bed, so tempurpedic is out of the question so far. Why are there so many grey areas!!! |
