Go soft or firm when buying memory foam mattress?

I know it's been a debate for a while & everyone has a different opinion. I am hoping to get some clarity on the subject though.

I'm a side sleeper
I weigh 130 lbs
I have lower back pain
I wake up with a sore shoulder almost daily due to sleeping on my side (7 yr old Sealy spring mattress)

So I need something that won't kill my shoulder, but will still protect my back.

Maybe my weight makes it easy & my back AND shoulder would be fine on something like the Tempur Cloud Supreme/Luxe?

Or does my weight not play as big of a role as one may think & I really need something like the Rhapsody?

I've tried em all & have it narrowed down so I'm not asking you to pick a mattress. This post is strictly to make sure I pick the right one for my body, sleeping style & ailments.

I have the allura which I assumed would be soft enough for me.  It was the softest tempurpedic at that time.  Now I am considering the luxe.  I wish my allura was softer.  I've had it for a couple of years.  It softned up a bit from when it was new.  The complaints of these things getting too soft too quickly isn't the case at all.  I wish that was my complaint (maybe I'll walk on it more).  It is very supportive and I have no back pain.  This mattress will last a lifetime.

My latex mattress softned up way more than this thing.
