Good article on chair ergonomics, particularly where it explains the seat should have a waterfall seat, i.e. the thighs are lower than the hips.  This is the reason my expensive chair hurts, my thighs are higher than the hips, pain!!!

click here for article. Ignore the picture because that seat has contoured seat!!!  Bad

LeoC the chairs are sized based on a height/weight chart, and that's how you determine whether you need an A, B, or C chair.

I just returned 2 office chairs to Costco! At the time I didn't even know why just that they were super uncomfortable. I actually found a great chair at Overstock for $100. It is deep and wide and has the "waterfall" effect.

My life changed overnight when Leo3 sent the link for hips because what they were really talking about was NERVES and I have been complaing about nerves all along. I think many of the people on this site could use a whole home make-over of their seating!! You don't really have to go out and buy stuff. One of the better ideas I read on here was the person who put a thin wood "skin" over his springs and then his foams.....smart!

Alice,  you should include the link for the waterfall chair at O-stock

I looked at the chair chart for Aeron chairs and it says I should get B, but I sat in B and I know it would push up on my hip.  I just know it.  I wonder what their returns are if it hurts me if I finally would get one.  If you sit too close to where the edge is I just know it would hurt.  But been wrong many many times before.  So don't think I can risk it.  Maybe I will email them.  I am just tired of sitting on horrible chairs and not sleeping in horrible beds.

I agree Jim, I could have returned lots of chairs over the years.  I looked at Costco chairs, didn't see any I would like.
