Help Me Figure This Out, Please?

Before I call SleepEZ (maybe for nothing), I thought I'd ask here for help in figuring out if my bed is too soft or too hard, or what...

I have the SleepEZ Natural organic Talalay latex. Three 3" layers, soft, medium and firm. The only configuration that seems to cause no pain for side sleeping is F/S/M (with medium on top). Other configurations cause low to mid back pain. The second best is M/F/S (with soft on top), but still causes pain. Now, a few weeks ago, I tried this one and it was as almost as good as F/S/M, but not this time. I managed to sleep on my back most of last night, but with a fat pillow under my knees. But still, M/F/S is better than F/M/S

Now, I don't have a problem keeping the F/S/M configuration (the cover seemd a little droopy, but maybe I'm imagining that), but I can't figure out what makes this weird combination work for me and what makes the others not work. It's nice and bouncy. And it seems softer than the other configs, but how can that be?

Yeah, I don't know know what I mean, either.  blush Don't feel bad for me, sometimes I just have a hard time finding the right words.

I think if the cover didn't look all droopy and saggy with the F/S/M configuration everything would be A-OK. I guess what I want to figure out is, based on the way that config. feels, what do I need to do to get F/M/S or M/F/S to feel the same way?

I added a  folded lightweight down blanket to the M/F/S last night and it was better.

You mean there is space in the mattress cover for another 1" layer or something?  You added a blanket inside the cover?  Maybe you should tell Sleepeze about the bagginess, if it were tight you would feel a firmness (I guess you found that out).

Still don't know what you mean though having two configurations feel the same.  Would you rather have a M, M, F?  Maybe Kimberly can help you.

Are you saying it looks more "droopy" with one configuartion vs. another?  I am not sure why that would be, since the total inches of latex is the same.

Why do you want the 2 configurations to feel the same?  They are different, so they should feel different.

For your F/M/S, is the F the top layer or the bottom layer?

I don't know why it's looks droopy either, but like I said, it could have been my imagination.

I am not able to express what I mean about the comfort thing, but that's OK. I just can't tell what makes "just right" so just right and what makes "almost there" not quite right. Is it too soft or too firm? For F/S/M, F was the bottom layer, that caused back pain, which leads me to think "too soft". Just F/S  caused even more pain. Would that have been too soft or too firm?

If I get a chance to do it, I'll go back to F/S/M today and double-check that droopy sag.

The F/S/M which seemed so good before is now hurting my back. I know this sounds really dumb, but I still can't really tell if my problem is that it's too hard or too soft. Does anyone have any suggestions how I can tell?

Oh man oh man, the never ending quest/confusion of what suits one best! After spending so much money, so much time, so many people still have not gotten what configuration/mattresses/firmness levels suits them best for sleep!

So much disheartening.

I know, right? I feel a bit stupid for not knowing whether it's too hard or too soft. I want to say I'm just not getting proper support or something, but I also don't feel like I'm sinking in or anything, either. It's so odd!

Sorry to be the pessimist here, but this is exactly why I ended up returning my Flobed.  Many combos and no one, me included, could figure out what was wrong - too soft?, too firm? or what?.  In the end Flobed just said I was one of those people latex doesn't work for.  I sure hope it works out for you.
