Help we need a new mattress but which brand?
| Me and my husband have a spring air mattress that is 17 years old and we need a new one. I don't sleep well during the night and have so many aches and pains. The problem is that we have been looking for 3 weeks and are so confused. We like the Simmons Beauty Rest but heard bad things about it. We looked at Sealy and it was like eeee. We looked at Serta, the Orginial Mattress Factory. We can't make up our mind. Guess after spending a lot of money on one we want it to last and be comfortable. Can anyone steer us to what we should buy? Since we had the spring air should we look at that? We are so confused! HELP!!! |

If I were in the market today, I would look at cores of either latex, or springs only and purchase the cushy stuff we all like as toppers that you can replace every few years when they permanently squish down. If you like latex I would find a store local to you to try some and then if you like latex consider flo beds, sleep ez for the full package in a zippered cover, that you can switch up ( I would make a king or ca king with long or ex long twin cores and king top layers ) I think both offer a fair exchange program to make sure you are happy with the IDLs you choose; or I would consider ordering at foambymail.com like BillB did. If you like springs I would buy the best spring mattress I could afford that hopefully is turnable an NO excess cushioning. This you can add yourself. Like BillB said read all the posts you can here. You will both have your eyes opened and gain confidence in your search. Make sure you look at the link with all the cut open beds..BillB or Cloud9 do either or you know the fastest way to that link? Best, JoJo p.s. I don't mean to slight water or air however IMHO both work on displacement which I don't care for. Also, I forgot to mention, make sure that you see the cutaway's of all the mattresses you consider...when you can see it with your own eyes you will know what you are getting. |
