Hi
We've just bought a memory foam mattress. The guy in the shop told us that memory foam is always extremely supportive of the back, and that the firmness didn't matter. We should choose which mattress we felt comfortable on - firm or soft - and as it was memory foam it would support the body well regardless of our weight. |
Update - the mattress is a Therapur medium grade firmness (though it feels very firm, and was sold to us as very firm). The website description of it says "The Senator mattress has a layer of memory foam, which has three posture zones in the head, foot and lumbar areas for additional support. This mattress has an advanced temperature regulating Thermocool cover, which aids a more restful night´s sleep." It also comes with a 10-year guarentee against losing its shape. |
Thanks for the laugh, "Yes we are from the UK. Why? Are Americans usually heavier?" Hmmm...... Let me think about that.....Not sure. But I just wondered since mattresses offered there might not be offered here in US. Since you already have it try it and if it is returnable after so long return it if it turns out painful. I haven't heard of that Tempurpedic. Anyone else? Since you are young you probably don't have the aches and pains some "mature" adults would have, so maybe you will be fine.
